Anyone know if these hangers would work with a Chevy 63” spring conversion?
I’m slowly completing a 63” swap. I have the front hangers completed but I’m held up on figuring out the rear hangers.

Mike, the simple answer is yes. There are a few issues to overcome:
-how far to move them back, ~3-5". This means aftermarket high clearance bumpers won't fit without modifications
-the frame tapers in as you slide back so hangers might be inboard ~1/8"+ each side
-Chevy bushing sleeves are 3" wide, Tacoma is 2.875"
-You should add a crossmember that gussets the bottom flange of the frame or box that area

My shackle flip kit would be easier to use, and has been done

I’m looking at swapping from an ato shackle flip kit. These look great and it would be nice to support a fellow east coast guy.

Your website says you’re a deaver dealer, and I’m looking at the deaver expedition stage 3 leaf springs.

Thanks, always happy to get support from east coasters. I offer the standard U402 expo Deaver and U402HD spring (stage 2), which is pretty stout. How much weight do you have?

Rear bumper with swingout and spare tire and gas cans - 300lbs
Go fast camper (soon) - 300lbs
Decked system (possibly) - 200lbs plus tools and gear maybe another 100lbs
When camping arb fridge and yeti cooler loaded up - 150lbs
    Other miscellaneous stuff - ?

So really I’m going to be about 1000lbs over a stock empty bed. It’s also a long bed so I already weigh more than a short bed.

Seems like shipping is the killer with leaf springs, and headstrong offroad has free shipping so that’s appealing.

I currently have all pro expos that are about 6 years old and pretty flat with the flip kit. I was thinking even just start with your hammer hangers and figure out leaf packs and shocks afterwards. I’m wondering if your shock relocate is worth it with deavers and hammer hangers? Would stock length shocks then be the limiting factor? And longer shocks would allow more droop?

Thanks for any advice and for getting back to me so quickly (especially on a holiday)

I've never weighed them but a DCLB may actually have less weight on rear axle than DCSB, due to cab center of gravity. There might be a 30-40lb curb weight difference between the trucks.

Sounds like the stage 3 expo is a good fit for you. Not a bad idea to fit Hammer hangers with your all pro expo springs first though, the shackle angle will be less severely pointing rearward.

I've never tested the HD packs myself, but I estimate the Hammer hangers and Archive shock relocation together should still allow 11-12" travel with the heavy duty Deavers even though they have less arch than standard U402. The shock relocation should provide a modest increase.

    Thanks for the advice

For the benefit of others, my plan is to use these with the stock springs and shackles for now then upgrade the springs later when I lift. I like Eric's suggestion to use their Archive spec Deaver pack that lifts about 4"-4.5" in lieu of the block that comes with the BDS 6" lift kit

I've been pounding on these hangers for the last month or so. My factory hangers were bent. I ran deaver j66 springs on my old setup, but swapped to ome elo96r (hd) springs due to the ever increasing weight of shit I'm adding. The hammer hangers are an excellent upgrade. Good design, and super beefy. I did the hangers, 3.6 shackles, and crosstube, all from archive. The crosstube definitely stiffened up the rear end and can really be felt in the corners. I live in southern Humboldt county, northern cali. We have some of the roughest, steep, windy roads in the country. Most roads are rock and only get graded once a year. Honestly, I could care less about articulation, and axle drop out. I did this upgrade to improve ride quality. The hh setup, has returned an almost car like, stock ride to my heavily modded tacoma. Again, GREAT PRODUCT Eric...

Jay, after we talked on the phone after your order and I heard the rough roads you live off of, I was keenly anticipating your review, hoping the Hammer hangers would be a great solution for you. I started to get worried when I did hear back right away, so this is great news to hear the HH system is working well, delivering that improved ride, and you're happy. I'm thrilled, thanks for your support and review here in the thread.

I just spent all of Monday under my truck and realized that the Toyota tech that installed my TSB replacement springs put one of the rear eye bolts in backwards and has nor gouged the hell out of the bracket. I need to get these HH on ASAP.

@ARCHIVE I put my icon multi leaf AAL on and was thinking of keeping the overload leaf installed. Was wondering if you have any thoughts on that.

Yeah, get the HH under there, you will have a nice ride.
@Nitori says: "the stock springs that everyone bemoans are totally transformed when their anchors are not flapping like a screen door in a stiff breeze"

I would say no, but I have heard of some adding a 3-leaf AAL to the full TSB 3+1 packs, but I don't think it was designed to do that. The "overload" leaf in my opinion isn't a typical overload, it is an active part of the stock pack, so it's more of a thick leaf. The 3 leaf AAL is intended to replace the thick leaf and be softer feeling than it, edit: so expect a progressive AAL to lose weight capacity.

I am installing Deaver U402K2 Long Travel Leaf Spring Kit for 05+ Tacoma w/ Bushings and U-Bolts (*Stage 2: 300-600lb. Springs @ 1.5-3" Lift*) from Ben @ Filthy MS. Didn't know you had them.
I have King 25001-121 rear shocks. I am running stock SOA because I don't have any idea of the advantage/disadvantage of SUA. I am thinking about putting the HH on when I do the leaves. To do the Hangers and leaves the best way what do you suggest I get?
    thank you Sir.

SOA keeps it simple, and SUA does have some minor compromises like axle clearance, welding perches on, and a bit more sway.

To run with the Deaver U402HD (Stage 2), I recommend just running the stock shackle or you can upgrade to the 3.6". These shorter shackles help droop. So you can just get the hangers and be set. Thank you
