    Picked up the new whip today in NC! I’m naming her Swift (which she totally isn’t at all). We made it the 600 miles to Pittsburgh today with only a slight delay. Apparently when she gets good and hot and you shut her down, she won’t start up again until she cools off. So the engine will stay running for fill ups for the rest of this trip. We’re staying for the Pitt/Penn State game tomorrow then making the haul back to Texas. Made a deal with a guy in Colorado today to sell the Taco. Sadly he will come to take possession of it in a couple of weeks. But fear not, I have big plans for the war wagon here.

    1989 4runner SR5 with the 3.0 V6 and 5speed MT
    170k miles, 38k on the rebuilt motor. All the steering and suspension linkage was replaced and the frame was re painted. New clutch, new fluids, new head gasket, new belts, etc. it does have an issue where it doesn’t like to start up again after it’s been running for a couple of hours. I found a fix for the problem, I just have to wait until we make it home to take care of it. But other than that it runs really well and cruises 70 on the highway no problem.
