The fact that they can file
Bankruptcy twice in a 10 year span is ridiculous #americangreed

To add to this.. if you believe they’re really suffering because of this, you’re buying into their track record of bullshit.

They “just” filed. They didn’t lose their house, cars.. well, maybe they did in 2001 and again in 2009. Seems like every 7 years when they’re re-eligible to file bankruptcy, life just seems to strike them down (again).

Any thoughts and prayers should be sent to the people who deserve it, not the Pelfrey’s, who change their personal names after bankruptcies, and had a perfectly executed plan for this business to fail while they reaped the earnings they knew they wouldn’t deliver on.

Wait so these guys changed their personal names after their previous bankruptcies? Are you kidding me? Their real name is Pelfrey or what?

I sure those people were on the payroll one way or another. Money, free gear, or just trying to curry favor with the pelfreys. You saw dudes vouching for them cus they spoke to Satin once or twice on the phone. First of all, those people vouching for pelfrey were just randoms so their word meant nothing. Second of all if they “personally knew” the Pelfreys so well how come they had no facking clue Satin bought a LX470 and Lexus RC couple months prior knowing full well the shape the company was in? Finally if they were such close friends of the pelfreys then where are they now? All I’m hearing are crickets. They probably sitting there realizing they’ve been duped...well the smart ones at least.

Buddy almost ordered a bumper a month ago. Lucky Demello made him a better deal so he went with them.

Real bummer stuff like this happened. I have seen it happen a few times now in the car world. #1 lesson that always is learned, credit card is the only way to pay for anything you don't receive instantly.

Side note, interesting that they dont fab their own stuff and that its outsourced to Lasernut. When I ordered my Demello I got a hint maybe they dont as well, but they kinda beat around the question. Tiffany told me they were waiting for the bumpers to come in and that they were in transit. How do you wait for bumpers to arrive if they are manufactured in house I thought? So I asked if they make their own stuff and if its welded here in America. She said yes, but it sounded weird and like she either didnt get my question or didnt know how to answer it. I don't really care as long as it's still made in America, the quality is there, and the seller stands behind it. I'm an engineer, I design stuff. That does not mean I can manufacture it, as long as I stand behind what I sell though, that's what matters. Or I thought way to much into it and they do it all in house. Seeing this Pelfry post reminded me of this thought though

Anyway, now that I have ran down a rabbit hole with that statement, sorry to all who got screwed. I have been there in the past and it sure sucks.

I feel like it’s bad for the whole industry. How can you really know who to trust? You read testimonials and reviews? PB has great ones. Check their reputation? PB had a solid one. It just sucks all around.

Funny you should mention that. I think lasernut has an Instagram you might be interested in.

The industry isn’t different than it was 2 weeks ago, Pelfreybilt is. Buying anything is a risk.

Unfortunately.. people got conned by the notion of family and on good stories. That’s a perfect environment for people to be taken advantage of. There’s no way to remove risk, but it happens so rarely that it isn’t problematic for business.

So, insulate yourself as best as you can - don’t pay cash, maintain and expect communication and updates, pictures on request, tracking info, etc. A shady business will become apparent when that normal relationship breaks down.

I know the industry isn’t different, but I think it hurts everyone when a company with a good reputation does something like this. To be fair, it happens in every business, this just happens to be the one we are talking about right now.

Right there with you I’d ordered in
May. They posted sliders being shipped out for powder coating. I messaged them via Instagram asking if mine are in there. They replied with “it is as they say,po-si-Blay”

Yeah but the sad truth is that I'm definitely going to think twice now before contacting other vendors in the future for a $2000 up front order after this happened.
