09.08.18 - Houston area Meet n' Greet

I just wanted to say that it was amazing how many people came to hang out and support us.

There was a bit of a glitch with our original dinner destination and we apologize for any frustration caused by the decision made to leave and find another place to eat. I feel like it was the right choice(and turned out great)and we learned for next time that Stuttegarden is not a viable option on a Saturday.

As we continue to work on planning these meets and pulling this many people together I think there will be some bumps in the road but the end result will be worth riding it out. So all patience is appreciated.

I would have to ask @Biscuits what his final count was but I believe we had 26 different vehicles who came out that were either TTC members, people they brought in, or someone from Houston who showed up to check it out after seeing the thread.

I also can't confirm but I think we may have made an FJ friend at the meet...

Overall it was a success and I look forward to hanging out again!

The cam tab install took longer than expected. One of the control arm bolts were seized so I had to get creative with that.

Then I ran out of shielding gas in the middle of it. Truck was on jack stands, hanging half in the garage and half out while I went to get another bottle. Thankfully nobody jacked anything from my garage while I was gone.

 

I selfishly only took pics of my 4Runner and @trekker ’s taco. Looking forward to seeing some pics posted tomorrow!

 

No worries, theres always next time! I think we can all relate to starting a project that should take a couple hours and then suddenly the entire day is gone.

Thanks, I also think she's pretty awesome. I was half worried she would end up going home with @Bigdaddy4760 ! Him and his wife were loving her up so much and she was just eating it up and trying to drink out of their cups.

Once it cools off a little bit more she will be with me at more meets because it won't be so hard on her like it is with the heat right now.
