Good point. How big is that place?

I mean how cool would it be to own a business like that. I have managed businesses and projects a very high level and I’m sure it was challenging. Very, very unfortunate.

it's so obvious now that they had to wait the 8 years, this whole last year seems waiting out time, for what it seems we know now

None of us know the whole story, and we may never know it. I personally have seen many businesses fail. Most businesses don't fail due to lack of business, but because of inability to meet demand. The reasons vary a little, but a lot of times companies will struggle with these problems for years and dig themselves into holes trying to catch up. A lot of times when seeking investors you have to prove the market, a lot of manufacturers do this by having sales. Most employers don't tell their employees for fear of them leaving and leaving the employer even more incapable of meeting demand. I've wheeled with them a few times years ago, I've met their customers, and seen the quality of their products. The fact that People were willing to wait months for their orders says a lot. I highly doubt they spent the last 6 years building all of this up with this being their end goal, especially when its obvious that if they could get whatever the problem is under control that there is far more money that could have been made. In the end however most businesses fail, and a large majority of those that do go into debt while doing it.

I am not defending anybody however, I'm just adding a different possible perspective based on a decade of experience in the manufacturing industry, rather than just jumping on the bandwagon and grabbing my torch and pitchfork.

Pulled this from a different forum.. not sure if true, but would make sense....

"Think about it this way. They started taking pre orders on their new 4runner bumper about a year and a half ago, amounting to in the ballpark of lets say about 150 orders. So at an average deposit of 1500 bucks each, that's over 200k in just obligation for ONE product of which they have delivered TWO... Fucking two... They produced and delivered TWO in the year and a half they were collecting orders. So let's say they had another half a million dollars in unfulfilled orders that they have not yet even begun to produce..."

The customers listed can Contest they’re part of the chapter 7.
They can contest and the judge will give them a voice at the hearing!
If a few people go and contest the judge will open an investigation. If the investigation shows that Pelfreybilt knowingly took money never intending to deliver goods...he/she will drop them from the chapter 7 and order Pelfreybilt to pay !

It will be interesting to see how that all plays out then. Like I said earlier, wouldn't surprise me if they were still trying to charge people up until the end (and even beyond). Seems like they are under the impression that they have really no risk anyways, so hey, why not get as much as they can?

Just have to say it again, regardless of what really happened/is happening.... @Pelfreybilt you suck giant balls.

I filed a complaint with the FTC on Friday morning 9.6.18, because I paid my deposit with a debit card on 8.26.17. I also filled a complaint with the BBB.
