2001, 2009 and now 2018. First was 8 years apart, this one is 9 years. Also reading the filing it asks if you’ve filed within the last 8 years

I'm vaguely curious what their business ventures were that lead to them to file bankruptcy. Was it some other automotive fab or selling snake oil or what?

I think you kinda have it right, but also it sounds like you don't know how we operate. It's unfair to compare a fab shop pumping out production parts to a roofing company. First, many roofing companies ask for at least part of the money upfront to cover material. Second, they don't have to buy 100's of orders worth of material in advance. We buy material for orders we don't have yet, but we have to pay for it all in cash within 30 days. When customers pay in advance, it helps pay for material for their order and dozens of future orders. We do this to get bulk rates and keep retail prices lower for customers. In the end, if customers decide they don't want to pay upfront, then many of us will just buy material in 1-2 order quantities which will drive up the cost for everyone.

This is a terrible situation and I feel bad for all the customers caught in the cross fire. This will have a ripple effect in the industry that will affect us all.

In an attempt to be constructive. You can take some “fraud” and other “losses” off your income tax. If you lost thousands of dollars keep good records. You may be able to recover something (YMMV). Consult your tax advisor.

Shitty situation. Ha! Giant understatement. I’m down $5k to these people and I should keep it civil? They lied to my face several times, personally lied to me, very recently, as they were filing CH7. I can’t even imagine how much money they stole from us all told.

LaserNut has a large supply of materials, usually, they provide the material for the parts they cut. I am also assuming they buy in such large qtys that they get better pricing than smaller outfits. LaserNut cuts and fabricates for a large percent of the offroad industry.

Those who lost deposits had a reasonable expectation to get product for what they had paid. Crypto is pure gambling/speculation.

I don't know but maybe the right way of operating a fab business is to purchase small quantities at a time and increase the costs in order for customers to make only deposits. I know we get screwed in the end but I think it protects people from losing full amounts up front.

Still nearly as f*cking bitter and pissed off as I was yesterday when they came out with their “update”.

I, for some (weird) reason still had a “fanboy” mentality yesterday, but now it’s straight up 1 finger salute

Just hoping Wells Fargo is able to get me back my $2.5k — they’ve done it in the past although that was for theft charges, which I guess this is similar... in a way. At least it feels very similar

And this is a classic example of how one fucker ( pelfreybroke) ruins it for everyone else ( all the other fab shops). No one really questioned the method until tyler and satin decided to pile drive everyone.
