I've got 2 of their battery cages, one for an Optima and one for a group 31. Good stuff for sure.

    All of them
Got a package right after I left for work last night.
Used but to good of a deal to pass on both of them.
Squadrons are for my A-pillars since my original sports went to the wife's fog lights. Not sure what I'll do with the S2s yet.

To bad they’re not the flush mount ones, I could use those for my rear bumper one day.

I used to run Coopers. Never again. The ATP 265/75/16 (Tacoma) was noticeably louder than stock.

Went from stock to Toyo ATII 255/80/17 (4Runner) and I was shocked at how quiet they are.

I've got the Toyo ATII on my truck now. The Toyo's are quiet there's no doubt about that but they are pretty mild when it comes to off road stuff. As soon as I wear these down I'll be going to a more aggressive thread pattern. In terms of generalities these have been my least favorite tire so far.

There is a difference but I dont think it would be enough of a change to make me change my mind about that tire. Sidewall lugs are a little more pronounced and block spacing is what would change if I went with the extremes. I do like the new "hybrid" MT/AT tires that are coming out. Lots of choices out there now. 0-xtreme1-tiff.jpg

That's weird. Mine are the extremes and I have no problem in sand, rocks, or mud with mine. They even took me up the waterfall at Box pretty decent. We just got done going through mud at the rim, too.

The tires admittedly have taken me everywhere I've wanted to go and have not yet stopped me. It just seems that I'm used to a more aggressive thread pattern and I have to use more pedal to get over or through obstacles that I didn't have to before. I've been up and down that waterfall with these tires too. They work but my opinion is they are more geared to street and occasional off roading than a mud terrain or more aggressive all terrain. FWIW I have the LT version.

So anyone think that any other company will pick up Pelfrey’s work? Maybe CBI does some deal for everyone who had orders in or something?

I guess hey probably don’t have to since they already have a nice product, But it will be interesting to see how it all skates out.

I don't see a deal for ex-pelfrey customers happening, it would be too much of a nightmare to authenticate and you know some fuckstick would ruin it for everyone by trying to fake it for the discount if the new company didn't require some good proof.

I saw their post about having investors lined up who dropped out when they saw the social media fallout. One one hand I sort of doubt there were millions in the pipeline, but on the other hand I feel for them because a lot of the fallout was from people who never bought a Pelfrey product and never were going to buy a Pelfrey product in the first place.

I had been thinking of swapping my Pelfrey skid out for a TRD or some other brand that kept the integrated center jack point, but on the other hand dropping the skid is a pain but not impossible. I can do it by myself using my knees to prop the front end up and then lowering it (only 27 lbs) onto my belly, then sliding it off me and onto a carpet scrap that I can then yank on to slide out from under the truck.:notsure:

I’ll speak up for the Pelfrey’s. I don’t know what happened. I’m not involved with losing out on money. However, when I dealt with them in the past, they were nothing but great. I feel terrible about what happened on both sides. Flame me if you will, but we don’t know that finer details. I simply see a lot of people jumping on the wagon and talking shit about people that I’ve met and had a friendship with. We were not best friend by any stretch, but they were always good to me and fixed the issues I had when I first ordered from them. I’m hoping the best will come out and everyone will be settled. They were voted best manufacturer multiple times by the people on this forum for good reason. Can we please stop the bashing of someone that just lost everything and think how they feel for a moment.
