Nah not hard to imagine really. They grew exponentially, purchased obscene amounts of stock and equipment to try to meet the demand yet kept falling further and further behind. Asked for a loan to be bailed out and was told no.

Greed and the inability to say no are what lead to their downfall. Being a business owner myself, I can definitely see how it happens and how if you’re not diligent it can sneak up on you to the point where there is no return

 

But with their track record? And they knew it, they went through bankruptcy counseling, and still took orders to the last day, even asked people to pay cash for the last little while.

 

Yea read my last sentence greed coupled with the inability to tell people no. Arguably those two are the same thing when you’re a business owner

 

Lasernut did all their fab work they didn't know building of their goods in house. So they didn't have a whole lot of overhead and equipment and what not

 

Oh... well that’s just plain stupidity and greed lol

Courts will hopefully sort them out

 

Umm if they are doing it the way the law allows nothing really the courts can do but allow it as I understand it. The creditors can petition and what not. This is where lawyers come into play.

 

That’s what I meant. I’m assuming that everyone is contesting charges with CC companies, PayPal, etc.

Don’t know if you can file a class action suit on a business that went bankrupt.

 

So if anyone wants their products I think we know where they can still get it

This is a fairly common event in the aftermarket parts industry.

Everyone wants the cool stuff NOW!
the problem is production can only happen so fast.

When production gets bogged down for what ever reason and customer isn’t getting his shit the day before he ordered it customer starts shit storm that manifests into panic, fury and terminal butthurtedness and the shitstorm grows from there.

It isn’t easy in this day to produce anything with out a boat load of cash ahead of time.

The tooling and materials have to come from somewhere. As production orders increase due to demand materials and tools need to ramp up as well.

SOS is a one man show, hopefully he can control the monster that lurks behind every order. As popularity increases that monster will get larger.
