Yeah I was just scrolling through the threads as well. Their latest IG post basically blames everyone else for their problems. Rise and fall of another...

I'm working on a rear winch mount 2nd gen bumper right now... :anonymous:

Dude, I'm finding it's really rough staying out of that prepay hole. They're not the only ones to fall in. You have to take risks to build a business like that in this industry, and I can totally understand (but not excuse) the situation they got in. It's something that should really be considered when a person sets a business model. Do I grow really slow and never really get rich, or do I risk it all and have a chance of being a gazillionaire?

I need a 1st gen to develop that same rear bumper on too...

Yeah Im not happy with the big F U they gave in their excuse. Your company was seriously 75% built on awesome customer service and the rest on great products. Then you blame your customers? And im sorry but what do you expect with canceled orders when you provide no information...

This is strictly my opinion...but im wondering if there even were investors. To claim they "pulled out" due to one event doesnt totally make sense. Every investor I've dealt with (which mind you hasnt been many!) was interested in the whole history of the company and not just the "now".

Might not be to many "fab" shops like pelfrybilt but theres still plenty of shops around who can do fab work. Plus quite a few guys willing to do fab work as side jobs. Just gotta look around :)

Running a small business is one of the hardest things. Not as bad if its a one man shop type deal but start adding employees and it starts sucking Great when there is hype around products. Shitty as can be when times fall flat. And when small all it takes is one visit from OSHA/L&I/ect to come in and ruin things.

So, I got my new wheels/tires mounted yesterday (F5s with 285 Wildpeaks). I was expecting to rub a bit, but it was worse than expected so I did a quick cab mount chop. I didn't have time to weld in a plate yet though. Do you think it's a bad idea have it like this for a couple weeks?

I welded plates on one that had been open for a couple years, no significant rust. Mud was a bit of a pain to clean out is all.

I painted everything to keep it protected, so I should be good in that department.

I never put plates on my cab chop. Ran it, wheeled it for years. Still would be that way too if I didn’t relocate them. The plate just makes it look like you never did it.

I’m sure there is SOME structural benefit of course, but I personally never had an issue nor would i change what I did.

You gonna weld the plates on yourself? I acquired a set a couple weeks ago that you could have, if so.

I am aware. I was meaning more towards an actual business pushing productsproducts. If Snellfab wants it there's plenty of work up here, the Oregon guys and hell even probably Alaska would be stoked about a shop they could just order from.

I run a one man custom shop, but for boats, its a constant battle, hire people make more money, stay one man and not have to deal with the fuckery. Its been just me for 8 years now, I doubt that'll change, just easier that way.

    So Jim....plate numbers.....

Yeah, I could totally use those. That will save me some time not having to make my own plates.
