    I’m seriously considering turbo’ing the truck. It’s cheaper than a supercharger, and you get better results.

    According to everyone who does this in CA, they revert it to stock or bribe the smog station. If I was going that route I’d make a custom intake tube like @Speedytech7

    You have to learn how to oil the filter, all you do is mist the filter, not soak it,

    I’ve never oiled it before. I took it out of the box preoiled two years ago, and never touched it since.

    I drive like a maniac, so that could be one thing.

    Remember I have the 3RZ Auto, and to keep up on California interstates you have to floor it everywhere. You have it good with the 5VZ and the SC.

    The 3RZ Auto is the slowest combination known to man. I took a ride in @Sperrunner ’s 5VZ 5MT and I was like “Holy shit, they can go this fast?”

    that is exactly what i did. the hole in the tailgate had to be elongated with a dremel in order to thread the camera into the handle. this style camera was the best i could find for my install location. the camera came with a nut and tightened the handle down great. im confident in the install. i drilled one hole in the side of the handle and threaded the camera in half way, then installed the handle and finished treading it in.

    Who’s done a kill switch here?

    What’s the best way to hook one up - power wire to the circuit opening relay?

    Wire to the EFI fuse? As far as I know that’s what powers the fuel pump.

    I fear for my truck every time I park downtown.

    Yes they're terrible filters for doing a good job at filtering as is any high flow filter. :)
