Nice release. My buddy at the range is a huge Nock On/Dudley fan. I used a Carter Chocolate for a while and loved it but switched back to a wrist release (spothogg wiseguy) after losing it for 30 min on a Utah elk hunt and having to searching the ground for it.

Haven’t shot traditional recurve in over 2 months, just been focused on the compound for huntin season. Knocking the rust off + testing out the new limbs. Tunes slightly different, spine a little weaker. Rather than dropping point weight (since my recurve broadheads are 200gr) I opted to build the side plate out a tiny bit more which moved my groups from right to center.

    Thanks

Hmmm..That's a good idea about the foam in the barrel. Might get rid of that "ping" you hear when you release it.

Went out to hang a stand in a new spot today and pull some cards. This guy was here about two hours before we got there. Hung a stand about twenty yards to the left of where this buck is standing.

    WGI_1258.jpg

And this one was over in a different spot. Haven't seen either one before.

So I got my SD card from the one camera and had over 1,000 pics, but nothing of great significance. I know this place has the potential for monster bucks but it’s a very random occurrence. Plus buck will change patterns frequently towards this time of year anyway. Still keeping my hopes up. My camera is placed 25 yards from this pic (which most of you have seen earlier in this thread) from 2012 so I know I just have to be patient. The rut can create amazing memories. Just gotta stay positive.

I’ll probably check my other cam one day this week or next weekend and show anything good!

    Update.
Stopped at Hoffman archery after work yesterday to try some bows out, after ~2hrs, left very happy with a Hoyt Powermax and 12 arrows. Those guys were packed but still got every person taken care of and adjusted every bow to within a 4 inch group before letting it leave.

Edit: im set at 55lbs and 29" draw

You'll get a different response from everyone. Midway has 3pk of 100 grain Muzzy for $9.99. Imo you can't beat that.
