The pivoting hitches are a great asset even for highway applications they're much more smooth

Add a piece of suare tube to the tongue with an internal dimension of a reciever. Lock n Roll makes a trailer piece that sldes right in and can be either pinned or welded. Lok in my camper build it should tell you what page in the op
    Edit: it’s on page 24

Could you get a alumnum tube then and weld it in then just pin the steel end of the lnc in place. That way it could also be removed as a theft deterent

He didn't cut enough off. This is where I cut them for a standard 285 CMC. Pictured below is Brians cab mount before I got my hands on it.

Picture doesn’t show for me but that makes sense I thought perhaps CRS had kicked in again.

So where the red line is is where you cut and all the rest was left after the first time? I usually cut all that face off all the way back into the bolt opening. He should have good clearance now

Yeah I cut back to the red line! Get as much clearance as I can without having to box it in.

We all do it a little differently. This is why I make the plates myself. It allows me to cut even more of the mount away and then I replaye sith 3/16. I try to cut even back into the hole, leaving enough to temove the hardwate if need be, and angle the plate back at the bottom a little. For 34’s or 35’s i cut the whole end off also and do the whole thing with a rounded taper.

For these i cut all the way back to the frame as well. In the cut pic thats as far back as I go for like 285’s i just don’t cut the end off. Fun stuff cool your staying busy with it
