We got our new phone book just the other day. It's about 1/4 of the size they use to be.

A 600 is really to small to ride a thousand miles. Cause remember. Your talking 1000 miles, ride some trails, then ride BACK 1000 . You’d have to be a real ironbutt to do that. My current is a tricked out KLR 600. I wouldn’t want to do that. But If you WERE going to trgo 600 I’d recommend the KLR. Cheap and lots of aftermarket shit for them to help u on your journey. Plus, with a few minor mods they are practically indestructible. KLRs have been to the tip of South America and to the arctic circle.

I rode an XR650L from El Cajon to Fresno. I had DOT knobbies on it and my face looked like I worked in a coal mine from the soft rubber coming off them into my face...and my ass was sore by the time I got back. Luckily I was there for 2 weeks so I had time to work it out before riding home.

600+cc dirtbikes have a ton of torque. If the 400's had more width to the seats I'd consider one. They are a whole lot more capable than people give them credit for. And now with liquid cooled top ends they should last a whole lot longer, yet the last XR650L I seen still wasn't liquid cooled. I don't know how Honda is getting away with that.

My first bike was a Honda XL250 when I was 15. Been a long time since I've ridden a bike.

Sand dunes are in short supply up here, although South Shore of Lake Superior has some. But you better not ride in them. I prefer lousy with chlorophyll myself.

Yesterday despite saying I wouldn't own a Polaris spent a couple of hours at a dealer looking at them. Good chance a 2019 Ranger Northstar HVAC has my name on it. Yep Heating AND Air Conditioning. Something like this.

But 2" larger tires nothing radical and factory spec, and bronze beadlock wheels. And pearl white. Same color I expect the 4Runner to be that I trade the Taco in on :anonymous: Eventually... Tired of beating the truck up in the woods and with the Ranger no longer will have to.
