I really don't see the need for a bed extender for hauling cycles or ATVs with proper tie downs.

I would recommend the "ready ramp" bed extender. Serves 2 purposes!;)
Bed extender and a ramp for your bike!:D

Nice, so long as you have a longbed. Says it can't flip back in on less than 6 ft beds.

looks to me like the tacoma in the pictures is a short bed.

I agree with you, but if you read the print in the ad that's where it says it needs at least a 6 foot bed to be able to roll back into the truck. Can't see the functionality of not being able to store it properly in the bed.

oh I get where you are coming from, I read that (May not flip inboard on truck beds less than 6ft long.) , BUT looking at the photos would suggest that it's fine on a Tacoma short bed.
I am guessing that had to put that in there for tinkerbells with Ridgelines or Subaru Bajas who think that they have real trucks.
I would think the issue would be hitting the wheel wells.

Exactly. I, unfortunately, don't have a quad or other cool toy to haul, so I will let yall further discuss the issue. Like I said earlier, it looks real nice. OP if you end up buying, be sure to put up pics!!
