I too bought my first Taco last week and have also been lurking on the forum for awhile ... AND I've already had my first score! I was able to get the Leer X2T Tonneau cover for $450 off of Craigslist. It was bought by a guy 6 months ago that can't use it anymore. I've installed it and it works like a champ. I've ordered a new grill and the tailgate inserts... let the modding begin!

 

Well you have great taste sir lol But I absolutely can see that now. I'm hoping as we get closer to the holidays a lot of these sites will start running some deals that we can all take advantage of.. but that may be wishful thinking.

I've ordered the black TRD Pro Grill. I'm looking forward to it!
My next decision is black or gray TRD Pro 17" x 8" wheels and what tires. I'm leaning towards black but the gray looks really good on the MGM Tacoma pics. The tires I've heard a lot of good things about BFG KO2s (265/70r/17 Load C). I have a message in with Dustin with FNWheels.

Picked up a 2018 TRD Off-Road DCSB a few weeks back. Had an 09 same thing and always regretted trading it in. As always, good looking trucks on here. So far I’ve done side steps, tonneau, SSP, headrest DVD’s for kids, hardwired dashcam, and added a homelink mirror (not sure why the premium/tech package doesn’t come with this...). Have plans to do a 2” lift and 265/75 16’s. Glad to be back.

 

Headrest screens look great. Did you do those yourself?

My 2018 OR w/ Premium and Tech, haven't even cracked 1000 miles. So far just the topper (SnugTop Hiliner Sport) and some little stuff:

- Pop-A-Lock in tailgate
- SaBellCo tailgate lock (got this first sorta redundant after the power tailgate lock)
- McGard spare tire lock
- this front license plate bracket
- OEM bed mat

 

Came here to show off my shell and find that we almost match!

Havent even got my first plates yet and ill probably roll over 2k next weekend.

 

Nice! It was hard to find a pic of a short bed Tacoma with this shell. Of course I find one two weeks after mine arrives!

I think I'm gonna enjoy the extra headroom. Building a folding sleeping platform next...

 

Thank you. I did them myself. Took about an hour, but I’m OCD running wires. All in all, they were only $160, so not a bad deal for my sanity with kids.

I’m about 6’2 so I had to make up for the short bed somehow! Been considering my sleep options as well have any good links to ideas you are considering?

Just bought a 17 TRD OR MGM Access Cab. I bought the 3rd gen 5100s and trying to determine what coils to buy. Anyone running 5100s with 885 or 884's on a access cab?

 

Just picked up my Tacoma in June this is my first post here are a few pictures from the beginning to now nothing major in the truck first two things I bought were the Pro grill and side steps the side steps were a must as my wife is only 4’11” had to get something quick I plan on changing them out sometime soon for rock sliders! Hoping I can befriend someone local who can weld to do something custom! And just recently I purchased my rims and tires Method Race Wheels Roost and
Falken Wildpeak ATW3 265/70r17 more to come soon!!!! My wife is gonna kill me with all the upgrades!
