You just lean on up against me, forest. I’m gonna lean right back against you.

Seriously though. I’ll be here. Anything you need let me know. I have a little prepper blood in me so you need anything survival related, odds are I have it lol.

I’ve been a part of the aftermath and rescue efforts, I’ve lived through multiple tornados, and have been inland for some big hurricanes in the gulf. This will be the closest I’ve been to the coast during one. It’s gonna be interesting but I’ll be wearing my brown pants

Well I am not from Wilmington but I am vacationing on Topsail Island this week. Renting a house right on the beach, never experienced a hurricane and not sure I want too. From Roanoke Va. area and they are even predicting severe flooding and higher then normal winds there. So we will be cutting vacation short and heading home. Does anyone know how soon they issue evacuation notices for the island and how bad the traffic gets? We have more then enough food water and a full tank of fuel. It is normally a 5 1/2 hour ride home.
You all be safe, and hope this thing fizzles out before it hits.

I work for the City's Storm Water division and the fiance is and RN at the New hanover hospital. I will be working up to the storm and she will most likely be mandated from being on shift at the hospital. We stocked up on food and water. My concern other than the rental house being destroyed why the dog is in it is the vehicles getting tore up from debris while sitting in the parking lots at work. Not sure what precautions I can take to protect them as this will be our first hurricane experience. Didn't see many of these hurricanes in Pennsylvania.

Yea I own an addiction treatment program next to th hospital and have to figure out a way to evac 18 young men and put them up somewhere safe further inland lol.

My wife and kids are evacuating Wednesday. I’ve got plenty of supplies to ride it out as long as my home stays in tact

My plan is to shelter in place as long as I can get my family, staff, and clients out without my assistance

    Guys please be safe

If you can leave you should...if you have pets but can't leave, send the pets to stay with a friend who is leaving

They're currently predicting about a 3 story storm surge and up to 150mph winds and like 40 inches of rain once it stalls

SC National Guard is already being activated down here and if SC faces the storm head on that puts yall in that upper right quadrant where the worst of the storm usually is besides the eye wall

Houses, cars, businesses, property should be insured and can be replaced

We have decided to leave Tuesday around noon, its just not worth the risk. Maybe beat the worst of the traffic. We have vacation insurance so if it pays great if not better safe then sorry.

I just remembered I’ve been trying to get my landlord to replace my rotting roof for 6 months so it may not hold up haha
