    has anyone hollowed out there catalytic converter? do you see any hp gain? or have and sound clips what it sounds like?

    I doubt the gain would be worth the cost. Super charger or turbo charger is about the only mod that will gain you a big change in a 4 banger.

    OME Suspension, BFG 33x10.50 AT, Light Racing Upper Control Arms, Rear ARB Air Locker, LCE Header, Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler, K&N Intake
    I would get a header before I did that.

    I have a LCE one and it added HP and made it sound good.

    been looking at a header and hollowing out the cat. i think i will get some decent HP.

    OME Suspension, BFG 33x10.50 AT, Light Racing Upper Control Arms, Rear ARB Air Locker, LCE Header, Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler, K&N Intake
    I did a new K&N intake and header with high flow muffler and it was significant HP gains. Probably around 15-25 HP.

    The K&N is about 5 HP gain and the header with muffler at least 10 HP or more. So easily a 15 HP gain.

    It is very noticeable.

    I measured with me hammering down. It takes off after all of that....

    I could blow my brothers 4 Runner that had a V6 0-60 after all the changes.

    Before that he would beat me easily.

    The 2.7L is about 150 HP and the 3.4 4Runner is about 183 HP.
