Toyota is a smart company. Like, just think of the hundreds of thousand of dollars they make each month selling pro grilles. Like, let’s be honest, the pro grille is probably less than $20 worth of plastic and manufacturing. I would say making the “pro” parts available to everyone is a very good business move. It’s a way to suck another couple hundred dollars of clean profit out of the pocket of everyone who bought a TRD or SR5, myself included. Genius.

I don't know dude. I kind of like the more understated look of Cavalry blue.

Toyota is challenged with blues. They seem obsessed with the colour. Blazing Blue Pearl was pretty nice. Cavalry was the same colour as the Smurfs, and now we get Voodoo. I don’t care what anyone says, it is exactly the same colour as Blue Man Group.

6MT is still available for Pro's.

IMO the "pro" versions are a total waste of money, nothing but cosmetic upgrades with gloss coated primer colors.

They have the nice suspension and rigid fogs and the slick wheels.

Why would I buy a sport or an off road when you can get a pro for the same amount or damn close? Would cost 5-8 grand in parts plus labor to turn an or into a pro.

I think the TRD off road is a total waste of money, nothing but an sr5 with upgrades.

The sr5 is a waste of money too. It's nothing more than an SR with upgrades.

Basically it seems like anyone who paid more than about 20k for their truck got ripped off. We should start a class action lawsuit against paying for upgrades. Who else is with me?

If you pay for your Tacoma at all you got ripped off apparently.

Wait. So then that would mean that the Pro is nothing more than an OR with upgrades?!

I also feel bad for people spending their own money on what they want.

Cmon dude. It’s a sunroof. Not 22” dubs. Jeep put in that removable/section roof option in their Wranglers, I guess that means they automatically downgraded to sissy status as well? But as far as I’m concerned, to buy a $47k vehicle and NOT have a sunroof? That seems sketch. Sunroofs aren’t exactly a new technology.

PROs got better resale value. You can upgrade all you want to Pro specs, you probably won't back get any of the money you put into it when you sell it.

Mine is being built right now, dealer said it should arrive by Mid October. M/T Voodoo Blue. Got it at 2018 Pro MSRP.
