Interesting. I washed and dried my truck last week. Started driving and water started running out from every nook and crannie. Had to dry the truck all over again. Never had this happen in a vehicle before. Maybe a few drops here and there or one trouble spot. But I think this truck is holding a lot of water in places.

If my OCD kicks in I'll break out the electric leaf blower and hit all the trim and moulding areas. Been doing this ever since I started riding Harleys and the water would hide for hours. Don't use a gas blower, sometimes fuel fumes can mix in. Never use a compressor, metal particles can mix in.

Thanks for the tip. I think I'll start blowing mine too. It's holding way too much water for me to be comfortable long term. And I usually wash once a week.

The plastic trim? I pulled that and the rubber off to see what was going on down there.

I've noticed a couple times after washing my truck that I would have beads of water in the door Sills.

Going to have to keep an eye on this for sure

Just an update on trying to get tsb and no luck after 3 calls to corporate and two different dealerships. I even email Jim Lentz and got my case elevated but still got push back unwilling to perform tsb. Told them this happens at high elevation when I go to Lake Tahoe and Stumble at wide open throttle. What does it take to do this Geez. An accident in the road?

Mine is sitting at the dealership for the 5K service as we speak. I begged/pleaded (in a nice, calm professional way) for the TSB to be done with no test drive. The service adviser was relatively nonchalant and acted as though they would do it then he kind of waffled and said they like to try to replicate reported issues and followed that up with "yes we should be able to do it as long as your '18 doesn't have it yet" I said Well pal, I know how the damn thing drives and I know I've had it for 3 months and exhibits all reported issues.
    We'll see this afternoon...fingers crossed.

I asked for this also during my last service. Out of several items the only thing that got completed was the oil change. None of the TSBs, the recall for Blower, The Air Contioner growling, and the rear end leak were not completed. Now I have to go back again Wednesday to get the rest done. When I asked them why they laid it off onthe service writer. Said he was new and did not get anything into the comuter to be done.

I saw it on the paper when he printed it off at drop off. This has me rather irritated and after buying 4 vehicles there I will be going to another dealer now. Sad.

Autonation Toyota Irvine did it for me today, no questions asked. I brought a copy of the TSB and told them I noticed a considerable stumble every time I drove it in the local mountains.

I have it scheduled for Saturday. They called me back today and agreed. Like others. I want to drive the truck in all areas.

Did it myself today with free version of Techstream and OVtune cables. No hassle with dealers.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Don’t do it..but to not know, is that worse?!
