Here's a pic of mine, I also flatten the pinch weld and do some minor trimming at the lower corner of the flare.

With good front suspension geometry and alignment most trucks will clear 35’s

All cmc’s I do will cut the cab mount as far back as you can get it without completely relocating it, it puts the WHOLE face of the mount flush with or behind the firewall. After the chop I do if you’re still rubbing you have bigger issues than the mount. It’ll be time to tub the firewall. The majority of people whose tires are still rubbing after a standard cmc are rubbing on the part I completely remove.

Looks good man, I do them like that as well when people are trying to clear really big tires larger than the typical 285 setup, I do the ones I pictured for most people as some are concerned about affecting warranty so I try and keep them stock looking, because when I cut the end off it becomes obvious that its been modified, some people (especially 3rd gens) try to keep it looking OE as possible, always a compromise...

    Good job!

Very good point. The nice part is as long as the issue isn’t with a body mount or the frame itself the magnuson moss act has protected everyone’s warranties

I agree, the dealer tries to weasel out of a lot of warranty work using any tactic they can, and or trying to attribute any mods as a possible root even if its obviously not.
I worked at a dealer for many years and have seen some shady stuff go down trying to get out of doing warranty work. As a tech (or as a dealer) they dont get paid the same amount of hours on the same job if its warranty vs. customer request, pretty lame if you ask me...this is the main reason the dealer tries to avoid warranty work if they can. No bueno!

This is the truth. A lot of my friends are techs for high end car companies of service managers. It’s crazy the difference in hours you flag between customer paid repairs and warranty work, and just as crazy with the sketchy stories you hear on repairs. All the crazy people trying to lemon law every vehicle they own don’t make it any better either.
