    When: 10.20.2018
    Where: Crystal Beach
When: Meeting at 10AM to roll down to the ferry.
What: Camp, fish, drink and hang out with other Houston area Toyota owners.

I've posted a poll with potential beach locations so please vote and we will make a decision from there!

UPDATE: We will be meeting at the Bucees in Texas City at 10AM so that everyone can fuel up themselves and their vehicles. We will do a quick meeting at 10:30 before rolling out in case anyone has any questions about the route and then head out to enjoy the day at the beach!

A parking pass is REQUIRED to park on Crystal Beach and can be purchased at most businesses nearby. So we will be making a pit stop to allow anyone who needs one to purchase it once we get off the ferry. I should also mention they do random vehicle searches before boarding the ferry so just a heads up if you're selected. The ferry is free but there is sometimes a wait to get boarded. Make sure not to try and cut in the line as the PD watches it and will turn you around and ticket you sometimes.

I will post a weather update as we get closer, because this is Texas and it changes every 5 minutes.

Below is a list of anyone who has said they are coming and those who have said they're a maybe. If anyone confirms I'll update the OP.

Not sure if anyone can confirm but I've been told you can't camp at SLP unless you're fishing?

If so - we will just have to be sure to fish! (which won't be a problem)

I would be down to hang out during the day and depending on what my other plans end up being for the weekend camp overnight. Probably leave early-ish on Sunday and grab breakfast at Brickhouse Tavern before heading home.

I can't wait to camp. Feels like it's been forever... damn this heat!

I know that camp fires are allowed in Bolivar but I'm unsure of the other beaches.

It was something I heard sort of in passing. This is off the Galveston Island Beach Patrol page.

I guess they really tightened up the rules.

Rules for Bolivar side beaches I just found. Looks like bolivar would be a better choice for those wanting to camp.

So IN! I'll probably head out there Friday afternoon so I don't have to drive Saturday morning.

Pretty down for this! Probably won't camp as last time I did I was getting sand out of every nook and cranny for months.

Campfires are allowed if you dig down and keep them less than 4 feet wide... at least that is what the trooper told me in May.

So we could make a circle of smaller fires and it would be fine...

With my luck, all three will be blowing smoke in my face. Doesn't matter where my ass sits...
