    Totally! That'll be me.

That is one of the biggest changes. Everything is very consistent now.

Dealer did NOT perform update.... Priority Chesapeake. I will try again in two weeks when I get my 20,000 done. Anyone in Hampton Roads have the cable so I can just do this myself?

Mine was built in May '18 and had the old calibration (8966304A7000).

The drl’s stay on with e brake engaged after the update. Anyone notice any other changes to the truck outside of powertrain improvements?

I've read through a ton of this thread, but haven't seen an actual pdf of the tsb for the manual. Does anyone have one?

The only TSBs state automatic. One of them has manual calibration codes in it. That is where all the confusion comes from.

That being said, the update installs on the truck fine and it did several improvements (depending on how old the truck is determines how noticeable).

I haven't noticed the problem with my truck yet. Just trying to get my ducks in a row before I ask my dealer about it.

Nice catch. I'll look at that. You're talking about when just the parking lights are on? Before the update, they were on, but only with a low setting. Dropping the brake would turn them up a notch.

The TSB itself is attached to the OP. If you open the CUW files in this thread in MS Notepad, you can see the ECU numbers in the header data.

I didn't notice any "problems" either. I just thought it was different than any other manual I had driven in my life (all Fords prior to this). Seeing some of the reviews on the update I decided I would give it a go. Now that I have it, I realize what was wrong with the truck before :D

Just had this done at my local dealer (TSB 0058-18) on my manual 2018. They didn't give me any real pushback, though when I dropped it off they cautioned me that they would have to seek pre-auth from Toyota since the update is "only for automatics."

This update really changed the nature of the truck for the better: reduced rev hang, increased responsiveness to throttle blips, smoother power delivery throughout rev band.

Apparently so! I picked up the truck a couple hours later. No charge for the TSB update.

Just tried at my local dealer outside of Seattle (Toyota of Kirkland). They wouldn't do it without a TSB. Lame.
