Navin, you’re welcome to come park a few vehicles in my yard, I have room and am fairly high up considering. I know it s a ride, but it may be worth it

If any of y'all need anything, bed/couch/floor to crash on you're more than welcome here. We have a clear spot in the backyard that I think will be out of falling trees way we might park the cars and I have solar to charge cell phones and the like.

Fortunately no we are on the high point of our property with a downward slope plus a creek bed on the front and back side to keep it flowing. My only real concern is the big trees close to the house and losing power.

Good, hopefully it doesn’t get that far inland to bring the trees over.
Being from the Midwest “tornado alley” I wasn’t all that concerned with Fran until I saw what it actually had done, and Floyd just reaffirmed that you don’t take this lightly, both storms took out places that had never been effected before.
This one has me a bit nervious

I don't doubt it, I had to swing by staples today and every single person was walking out of there with water. Two people alone had over 15 cases of it in their cars, fucking crazy

No one has ever heard of saving old milk jugs and stuff and filling them with water. Also they make big water containers that go in your bathtub you can fill.

Depending on how much shit really hits the fan here, I'm planning on driving around after the storm subsides with my chainsaw and some other "stuff" to see if anything is blocking roads or if anyone needs assistance. Also, If any of you folks need anything lemme know. We have a camper we could pull into the driveway ... worst case of course. Mom lives in Hampstead but luckily, they just had a whole house generator installed and they have little to no trees.

We've pretty much done all we can supplies-wise at mi casa here in Durm. We should have a much better idea of how bad this will suck this time tomorrow, but basically I am glad I own my Taco going into this.

If we are all squared away here after the storm I will also probably start rambling around with my chainsaw to see what needs clearing.
