How thick do they measure? I went to Lowes, and they only had the weatherstrip foam type. It does compress but they other ones were very soft.

Posted this in another thread. But there also these on eBay. Not sure if they work or not.

I have seen them and my guess is as good as yours. I hear the whistle left to right on top so I figured if I add long foam piece, it would stop the whistling.

It depends on the gap between fins. But.. I'd say roughly 5mm.

I used this, thick but stuffed the 2nd fin from the top and 2nd and 4th fin from the bottom. I will try to find something thinner.

Did u go full length on heat sinks or just short random strips? I did shorter strips by the middle like 12”-24” strips to break up air flow. Dont keep it semetrical. I still hear a tiny sound with windows down and no stereo on but it killed like 90% whistle

    Any pics @Taco2525

I can post pics of my fix tmrw

I would have to take pictures Tommorow but basically I have 3 rigid dampeners spread out throughout the bar and I ran strips across the whole par just stopping we’re the dampeners are and continuing it on the other side of it till the end of the bar and I did this from the like 2nd-5th heat sink

What are rigid dampers? Guessing they clip on back of heat sink to help this prob? Pop them out and grab some auto zone door edge trim protector stuff. Cut them in random lengths and install on the center lower heat sink parts. Will try and find a photo of mine

That’s what I did I have the edge trim In the video the op posted the dampeners are sold to help with the higher speed vibration

The dampeners work pretty well to help with light bar vibration some people say they helped with wind noise that did not happen for me

Are u having vibration issues or wind noise?

Also try and rotate light bar up like a few degrees and see if whistle goes away. If it does, its a matter of breaking up the wind on the heat sinks.

I put some foam edge stuff which I got from home Depot. I think it's for RV, door sealing, or used for cracks.
I forgot the dimensions but absolutely no whistle nosie.
I'm sure others used this method.

The vib issues are gone unless it’s windy as fuck and I’m going higher speeds I’m trying to get rid of wind noise. Should I try and aim the bar up or down

you can try and rotate light to point a little upward to see if noise goes away

i have the 52 inch curved from caliraised led with their brackets. I've tried using the edge trim but it didnt help. i tried using door edge trim or door sweep but it didnt help. i even duct taped the fins completely but it still whistled. so i think the whistling isnt coming from the fins. does anyone have any ideas where the whistling could be coming from?
