I may have tweaked a few things...
Does the window have to be up for them to fit? I can get my paddle board back there with the tailgate down and the window still shuts/locks securely. Otherwise try and get something soft between window and whatever it is hitting and strap it down like @wilder-ness said.

One kayak fits with the door closed, with two i cant close the door. I was thinking some hose clamps on the gas struts to lock it open. (To prevent it from slamming down on the kayaks).

Of course my load shal be secured ;)

Can you remove the window? Can’t remember if they are simple to remove but would be the easiest solution.

Theres 2 screws in each hinge, they go into the fiberglass "frame" of my "frame-less window". I think imma go try to take it off and see if thats an option. Im a little sketch on the idea because... well its fiberglass and im sure THAT will be the time that i strip/cross thread something lol

Why not just lay some foam pool noodles on the roof and strap the yaks to the top...

I feel like id crush my shit? strapping them down all tight like.

Buddy always suggested i buy the foam blocks for my cab to hold me over until i get my roof rack, but im not comfortable with that at all. You know if i damaged something up there from my excessive load-securing i would never forgive myself lol

I'd strap the long one to the shell rather than to the cab personally. Then put the short one in the bed... But I hear what you're sayin. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

    Always appreciate advice!

I can get the window off pretty easily, looks like the studs are in the fiberglass, so all i gotta do i back the nuts/lockwashers off and its off. No messing with the fiberglass (assuming i dont over tighten :D)

The little C-Clips on the gas struts tho... pain in the ass right there lol

I only did one side (just now) and 99% of that time was trying to get that dammed C-clip back on.

Edit: Would have been nice if i checked before asking, but it was dark and i was brainstorming lol. Would have rather left it on the truck of course, but better to take it off than to have it break.

Use a little flathead to move the clip just enough to pop the strut off the ball stud. Don't need to take the clip off completely.
