    That's what @Martyinco 's wife did apparently.

There were significant manufacturing mistakes made with my sliders. To the point that they prevented them from being welded on properly. I PM'd Jerry about it with pictures, measurements and details. Not with the premise of bitching/moaning or expecting any compensation but merely for his QA/QC purposes.

To his credit he at least replied apologizing for the errors.

Thinking of doing some wheeling this coming weekend with a friend to look at the aspens since they're turning a little early. Do any of you have a favorite trail to see the fall colors?

Did you lift your Cobalt? If so, how did you do it?

These are very light, aluminum wall construction, tent trailers if your in the market for an EAF towable. Great for a young family of 4ish.

I did lift it. It is a spring over axle so I just made blocks and had custom u bolts made. I added 3” is moved from the 10” wheel to the 13” which tow much better and added higher speed rating.

You leafers still have some time, the leaves have barely started to turn up here in the North.
I was at Long Draw yesterday and there are still a lot of bright green leaves up there.
This weekend may produce some good viewing but I think the next weekend will be optimum.

    edit:
a few Tundra pics for your enjoyment...:D

Where are those brackets tied into that are holding down the camper (that come over the bed sides)?

Love that setup, Brett. I’d be a happy man if I had a rig like that after I retire.

stake holes in the bed, then I modified them to add a little beef to bot the brackets and the inner bedside that it's bolted to. I don't think ever took any pics of the process though.

    Here is the original product.
    https://www.etrailer.com/Camper-Tie...KdRF9Bix-8WGXCLEnzkXS1bCfzn63kFxoCeHIQAvD_BwE

I cut the tab on the side off,(wasn't gonna drill thru the top rail) and welded some 3/16 plate to the stake hole portion of the tie down to beef it up and make it fit tighter in the hole. Also gave me something to bolt to after drilling and tapping the plate.
Then I drilled and tapped from the inside for 5/16 grade 8 bolts and added another 3/16 plate to the inside of the bed so the bolts wouldn't pull thru and also reduce the flex on the stake pocket.

the camper does slid side to side, or it did.
Saturday was spent building a drop in wooden brace system to keep the fucker planted and centered.
It didn't move at all on Sunday. :D

Pic of the bedside plate that reinforces the surface area, that's about al I can get for now.

Unfortunately for me, this weekend will be my only opportunity to get out :(. I was already starting to see some yellow over Labor Day near the Great Sand Dunes! Just looking for some decent trails to see what I can while can! ;)

Just a little summary of my day and a fair warning to pass on to anyone looking for a vehicle...

Maroon Chevy South (co springs) are some pieces of work.

2015 Silverado listed on their site, low miles and good price. Exterior pictures look good other than not an overly special car wash before the pics. Normal description.

I was in Denver, so i figured I'd take the long way home to check it out. Roll up and talk to a sales guy, truck is somewhere else on the lot so he drives it up.

COMPLETELY hail damaged, there's no way in hell it wasn't totaled, every single panel was busted up, roof looked creased from so many dents, windshield broken. Fuck face says "it just needs a new hood, maybe $5k in repairs." I told him he was very wrong...then to fuck off as i walked off. Not his fault, unless he took the pictures and wrote the description, but no chance in hell I'll be giving a company like that my business.

So yeah, they neglected to mention anything about hail damage in the description and all of the pictures appear to be intentionally taken at angles where you can't see damage. I looked back and one of the direct front pictures i can now see two or three dings since i was looking for them.

We'll see if they update the listing or just leave it to screw over others.

Crap picture as i was walking by on my way to gtfo of there.

Dude, shit like that is why dealers have such a bad rep.Sorry to hear about the shit experience, it must have really been a day ruiner.

I was supposed to buy a truck from Groove Ford but after several days in the shop for a "brake job" (best I can figure was they were doing a head gasket job or worse) I told them to get fucked.

Yeah.. I mean the excessive heat was nice, and the traffic was phenomenal especially parking on i25 for crashes. :boom:

But I'm done looking for now after today. I'll let the 2019 silverados drive the price of the older ones down more and focus on trying to find a bug.
