It’s all good. She’s no where near a show truck anymore. I can’t believe both handles broke within days of each other.

I think @se7enine is running them...he was giving me some advice on them awhile back before I bought my set. He might just be using the bolts though and not the bushings, he was kind enough to send me the bushings he didn't use. But he might have some input

 

I went Iridium a month ago.
I did go for the dialectric and used it on both the plug top boot/coil contact point and also the top of the coil where the wire clips in.

 

I’ve got them, but like @eon_blue , I’ve only been running them for a couple months.

 

Oh. I ordered a LuK clutch kit and Timken front and rear main seals. Looking at just pulling the motor/tranny next month and knock that out along with some bay cleaning. Creeping on a mild turbo, too.

I've been running the Wheeler's ES stock leaf poly bushings in my Dakar's front eyelet: Used only the initial ES grease on install and got 3 yr/20K+ out of them without a squawk. That's a pretty decent run. I'll probably get 10K more miles out of them before they'll be looked at for replacing. Probably of gotten 40K if I bi-annually lubed them. Maybe more...

Using a bottle jack to force down the eyelet to get access to manually lube the bushings isn't really any fun...

So definitely interested how these things hold up. Didn't someone snap off their zerk?

 

I replaced my boots after doing the wires and plugs, didn’t know the were replaceable. Noticed it ran much better after replacing the boots. Got a set of Densos from Amazon for $30.

 

Took these puppies off. Time to open em up and change the stack n make em ext travel. Will see if this helps the excessive rebound.

 

I remember that, I think it was just pressed in and popped out on greasing? Wish I remember who that happened to. I have a set of these bolts that haven't made it on the truck yet, I'll check if the zerk is pressed or threaded.

FWIW, I snapped a threaded zerk in the greasable shackle bolts, got a replacement from Ace Hardware and didn't overtighten any of the others.

 

Yesterday and today. Added some JL C5-650 speakers. Had to fab up mounts for them.

 

To much rebound dampering? Or too much rebound?

 

do you have a link? Cant seem to find them. Whats the official name? coil on plug boot?

 

I put a E13-010103 Compass RV mirror in today and wired it up through a Add-A-Circut tap. I had to fab up an aluminum bracket to get it mounted towards the windshield due to it being a windshield mount mirror. I'm very happy with the result.

My only issue is I cant seem to get the temperature to work only the compass?

There is no user manual found online anywhere...



The original mirror bracket fits over the compass PCB l think it was made for it...





These little taps are so useful! I'll be hard wiring my dash cam next.

 

Too much rebound not enough dampering

 

Yeah I had to do the same. I did 15% more rebound. I should of done 20% (ARB/Winch/steel IFS skid).
