    Sue you or Marty or whoever is welcome up here. We're supposed to get pounded with rain I may end up floating down to @dewayne . @TownvilleTim I'm sure we could squeeze your camper in the driveway if y'all want to stay. I've got a spare room with a single bed and a futon in the basement if y'all need to escape. It's not going to be nice up here but better than down there.

    So the intern didn't make the cut. He was pretty intimidated by the width of my pickup. Seen him driving with the rightside tires on the dirt shoulder when there was oncoming traffic. So I stopped and coached him a little. When we got both trucks back to the office I told the boss it was a no-go. Got my friend in there to give me a hand getting trucks and equipment moved then I put him in the excavator to give him some stick time as well as give me time to get some things done on the ground. Turned into a good day....till the end of the day. More on that one later.

    Good evening. Just catching up after a few days.
    @Tacoma Mike
    I know I’m late but Happy Anniversary! Hope you had a nice one. 40 years-that’s great.

    @US Marine
    Thoughts going to your brother, again.

    To all the folks in the potential path of Hurricane Florence, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everyone and their families remain safe and make it through with minimal impact.

    To those offering up places to stay, just in case, this is exactly why I really enjoy this thread. It just is a great group of people.

    I used to have office people and or new Diesel mechanics want to learn how to drive trucks with air brakes . I would have them drive the trucks in our back lot and have them not wear their seat belt but I would wear mine

    I would then tell them to start driving then when you had to use the brakes to apply pedal pressure as if they were driving their car . The look on their faces when they have to hold the steering wheel to not smack the windshield was priceless !!!
