Ditch the roof top bar. It will look better and solve many problems.

 

Did you put any silicone sealant just before putting in your bolts to fasten the light bar mounts? Also if you havnt put silicone sealant in all the holes that your prinsu bolts on...yea that's probably the source of your leaks as well.

As far as the door gasket...could you trim up any spots of the gasket to make it more flush and less of a cavity in areas?

 

I had a 50in bar on my jk with no rack did the exact same thing loud howl and vibration did you put the isolaters on the light bar? I had 4 on mine had to call rough country and added 4 more it definitely made it more quiet with more isolaters just a thought

 

I did not get any isolators with it. I'm probably going to stop at Home Depot tonight and get some rubber washers.

 

Do you have a link of these isolators? I threw some basic plastic door gasket strips on mine but it seems to not have much effect.

 

That is definitely your problem I’ll look for the link what happens is the wind gets stuck in the metal fins behind light bar

If it makes u feel better as soon as I installed mine I chucked the isolaters in the trash went 3 miles down the road and was dumpster diving shortly after hahaha

 

I just ordered some isolators. I ordered two pair since it's a big light bar. Stay tuned.

Here's where the leaks are coming from. You can see (red arrows) how the door gasket has to curve/bend to go around the bracket. It is not sealing tight against the A-pillar.

 

Ah Im with you now...May not be a bad idea to put a thin film of silicone around the bracket and then put the gasket back after it dries? Could you snap a pic of what it looks like underneath the gasket? I did similar to my first gen with my light bar rails and I had to silicone my stuff and used a rectangular rubber piece between the mount and the body of the truck. It can be done for sure, just got to identify what the real culprit is.

Does anyone have a pole saw that I'd be able to borrow? I need to trim up some trees next to my house. I'm debating whether it's worth spending the $100+ on one, and I figured that I'd ask here before I broke down and bought one.

 

Depending on the limb size I just use the cheaper manual pole saw on mine. Works like a champ. Cuts pine limbs like butter. Just keep wd40 on my blade.

 

They sell complete kits I believe I hope you can weld though

Above my paygrade. I could hande the welding part but somebody would have to show me where to put shit
