    i have to give them credit for owning up to it though. you know how many fords chevys and dodges ive seen condemed to death because of frame rot? its just hard to keep metal from rusting in the salt belt

    ive done 6. we have a guy that does most of them. i just get the extras if hes backed up. 4runner is the only one made in japan, they dont really show signs of massive rust issues (some 3rd gens, but not many)

    I saw a fifth gen that already had substantial surface rust all over the frame. It was from Canada though so I'm pretty sure they undercoat them with maple syrup
