    What kinda hand? I could probably sneak out some time, but my help would be about equal to any random person you pulled off the street :notsure:

    I could also use a hand if anyone in HSV knows anything about dropping the headliner. Parts for my NFO antenna mount came in last night :bananadance: Time to drill a 3/4" hole in my roof :sawzall:

    It really shows how flawed that study is, when OAKWOOD ranks #40. :facepalm:

    most studies like that are flawed, often based off skewed numbers because of tuition costs and "average salaries". like UAH is clearly an engineering/nursing school and expensive as doodoo, but if a liberal arts major goes there and gets a job with a 10k salary it really screws the numbers. to go to UAH for liberal arts is just asinine lol

    I think you are looking at regional ranking.

    But wouldn’t the order for “regional ranking” be just the same as “state ranking” with different numbers.

    Either way. Based on “regional ranking” alone that list is BS.

    I think the national ranking has more requirements, like the school has to offer such a variety of degrees from undergrad to doctorate level. That seems to be the description difference I see.

    but I agree the regional ranking list is BS (and not because UA isn't #1 lol)

    Gotcha. And I wasn’t saying the list is BS because Alabama isn’t ranked #1 or because Auburn is ahead of Alabama. More for the schools that are ahead of both.

    Agreed here, and actually for the same reason (not because UA isn't #1)

    You have a lot of kids go to the schools their parents went to just because. Had I been able to go off to school I know I would have gone to Bama and prolly wouldn't have majored in what Bama was known for. Hence, my starting salary out of college would have prolly lowered the averages.

    school rankings severely depend on what you are wanting to go for, and also where you are wanting to work.

    ex. Auburn and UAH are phenomenal for engineering, but if you're wanting to work in Huntsville....going to UAH gives you ample opportunity for jobs/co-ps/internships while in school that give you experience for the job you're going for. I mean, who goes to Auburn for engineering and works in Auburn? very few, but if you're wanting to go out of state Auburn is definitely more of a national name.

    yeah I just never take "internet rankings" to have any merit whatsoever.

    National Rankings.
    Auburn = 115
    Alabama = 129
    UAB = 157
    UAH = 230 - 301 (230 to 301 not given specific rank)
    USA = 230 - 301
