Agreed Chris. I was working @ a nursing home @ that time. The nurses were all gathered in the tv lounges watching the news coverage. When the south tower fell they all screamed and were crying, lots of emotion. Never will forget this day...

    Good Morning

That morning I was watching the morning news when the first plane hit. I called my dad and told him to turn on the t.v. . Then the second plane hit. I was glued to the t.v. until I went to work.
After that day I think I know how people felt after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

    God Bless American :oldglory:

    Morning All,
As others have said never forget where I was , in bed . Worked nights then , dad calls wakes me tells turn on the TV and gave me a synopsis of the first plane and asked what were the chances of it being an accident. As I was explaining it is possible but it would have to be total mechanical failure / electrical failure the second hit. I told not an accident I got to make a call. Hung up called the base asked the Branch Chief do I need to get my bags ready or report first ? Was told not yet will call or PR notify. Called Dad back and watched till I had to get ready for work....

Wild couple of days....One of my employees has a daughter that was getting married next weekend. The day before yesterday, they were victims of a home invasion/robbery where the fiance' was murdered.

Along with that, my thoughts are with those who are still being victimized by the 9/11/01 tragedy.

Hope all is well with y'all. On my way in 20 minutes to weekly staff meeting. Joy.

We were doing underground work in some manholes when we got the call to button up everything and go to the nearest central office.
We were told to secure these locations as the buildings contained switching equipment. Watched the buildings come down on TV.

On a clear day on the Sound, I used to be able to see the tops of the towers from the boat.

Had just finished a transmission overhaul.
    Was on a road test.
Came back in and the shop was empty.
    Like total silence.
Worked a few minutes and looked around.
Thought the place had been evacuated for something and I was in danger.
Went into the showroom and everyone was there with not a sound being heard except for the tv.
I saw the tower on fire and turned and walked away and sat on my bench for a while.
