TRD OFFROAD Hood Vinyl

Mine took a week, ordered on a Monday and showed up on Saturday. You're dealing with a 3 day weekend so give it some time. It also ships priority from NY so account for that.

They are made to order. Mike said current production was 2 weeks, but he beat that. I'm happy to give him the lead time given the quality product.

 

Is this in satin or matte? Looks darker and shinier than others, but could be the lighting.

Post 483 in this thread I told you they mentioned production can take a week and a half.

I guess it depends on the initial email you send them, I asked questions and within the hour Mike responded with answers on a Saturday night, said they would send me the invoice on Monday and production would begin after receipt of payment. Surprised by Thursday I got a notice that my order had shipped and it arrived Saturday.

I'll get to installing it soon but no issues getting the product and I would certainly order something from them again.

 

I know you have to really take your time on the installation, but how hard was it from 1-10

The decal is matte finish , lighting is just reflecting. Not bad to install , I used wet method and worked from center out, watch a couple of videos and you should be fine. Two people helps a lot since it is large decal. Make sure you have water worked out from under the decal and let it sit a little while to make sure it sticks well especially around the letters. I think it really sets off the hood on the off road especially with the TRD Pro grill. I think I will wrap the mirrors in matte black wrap as well to finish off the look I am going for.

 

Received mine yesterday (ordered on 8/31) and installed this morning. I did it alone using the "hinge method" (see youtube videos). I made a center mark with a sharpie, as others suggested, on the decal and on the hood of the truck in order to center it easily. Also used Rapid Tac application fluid and tech wrap 4" felt edge squeegee - both purchased off of Amazon.

The application was really easy and fast using the above method. No bubbles and just one small dust/dirt speck. Really happy overall with the quality and ease of installation.

 

Finally got around to installing mine but aligned it 3 inches below the top hood crease. It required a bit more measuring but I'm very pleased with the results.

 

Has anyone done the shortest option yet?

 

I can see the end of the hood now, no more glare at the mall.

Yeah, try the email or phone number. He seems busy. I sent him two emails last week with no response. I tried the phone number on his facebook page and he picked up. Got an invoice a few hours later.

Great product. I read within the 25+ pages of this thread the dimensions for the extra wide but I don't recall seeing the other dimensions.

Any chance you can post the measurements in the first post for all the sizes?

I have to admit the hood decal is becoming one of my favorite mods. It looks so good from inside and outside the truck, I think the skewp guys will be envious.
