I’d venture to say a few more people than just him have a lot of the similar information. It hasn’t been presented because of the uncertainty of the legality (investor negotiations and now bankruptcy filing) of it or the people with the information would be putting words in other people’s mouths.

I’m a close friend trying to clear up rumors. That’s it. Again, not justifying business actions. Just clearing up what I can.

I think there is confusing about the 9/6 email and a sale.

The 9/6 email was more so referring to the fact they emailed a customer telling them about to refund but at the same time also filing for bankruptcy with the court.

There is another member who made a purchase on the 27th the same day they had their counseling. I believe it was said all the way up to the 31st. Unless I am missing something.

Understandable about the incorrect things that people posted (wrong house, conjecture about past Ch7s, etc.)...

But you may want to refrain from requesting information to dispute certain things going on related to the CURRENT legal actions of the Pelfreys. You may think you're helping, it may be your best intentions, but that water may be sketchy to wade into here with this audience.

I'm trying to subtly say that while you don't deserve it, people may take things your posting the wrong way.

And to anyone reading my post: if this guy is their friend that doesn't mean he had anything to do with the poor business decisions of those running Pelfreybilt. He can't get your funds back and is just trying to stick up for his friends who he obviously is biased towards.

Let the courts do their job.

Agreed! Not sticking up for anyone here. I have now three friends without refunds. But i wanted to clear some things I read that weren’t true. You know how social media is. You hear one thing and run with it.

Again, this a bad situation and I hope everyone gets their refund. Thanks guys!

Nothing wrong with this at all.

Those of us affected are angry about losing our money and that anger can get misplaced.

I understand that you want to show that the pelfrey are not bad people just got caught up in bad business practice.

The fact remains though that they made a series of missteps in communication with their #pelfreybiltfamily then lashed out after they went dark for a whole weekend. On top of that the timeline of all these things occuring painted an even more negative picture.

Even if their heart might have been in the right place. Their brains weren't. There are enough examples in the news that show what happens when you make one social media mistake, or have a serious incident.

I'd also like to point out about the 5th gen friends. When I talked to Mike he had told me they were waiting to get through all the 5th Feb orders before they got to tacomas for the dual swingout, the fact they opened preorders to tacomas shows how much they were robbing Peter to pay Paul.

For those reading my previous replies. Please don’t drag me through the mud. I’m not trying to show they’re good or bad people. I’m just trying to clear up some things I read.

More importantly, the motorhome comment stuck out the most to me.

Yeah. Looking up their house was not cool. I believe someone followed up that comment stating the pic was taken before they even owned the house.

He doesn't need to. Nothing of what he was saying is making excuses for their actions. He was just giving what appears to be some factual information on background.

The fact of the mater is that this goes well beyond bad business practices. There was downright deception starting as early as June that I am aware of. I'm more familiar with the 4Runner rear bumper as that's where I lost (maybe) $3500 that I paid in March. (I'm really a 4runner forum guy, I resurrected this old Tacoma profile from many rears ago) On June 7th all of the people (at least 73 since I was #73, the end total was said to be 79 by Satin) who pre-ordered 4runner rear bumpers were sent an e-mail update. That e-mail indicated that the bumpers were in production and would be completed in the middle of July. On July 26th we all received another e-mail saying the bumpers were in full production and they were completing one bumper a day. There were numerous other e-mails and further lies after that, indicating various things, however, the bottom line is only one production bumper was ever produced after the 2 beta versions.

So all said they knew the ship was sinking well before June and just kept on lying and taking money right up till the August Bankruptcy counseling. I'm sorry there's no getting around it they're just bad people who intentional deceived about 650 people that we are aware of. And all the while called us family.
