I hope you have better luck with GFC's completion time forecasting than the rest of us - or have an alternate vacation plan that doesn't involve a camper.

There seems to be a disconnect between the # they hope to complete per week and reality.

He is talking about the Auburn in Alabama I think.

Dang that cool. I was planning on bringing my skis with me when I go to pick it up in November and maybe go to Big Sky if the snow is good but may have to stop off in Yellowstone. If you want a buddy when you go in November give me a shout and I'll join up if I'm there.

Either way I-90 is the direct route :). I think difference is 2 days driving time and 80 mph starts once you get to Minnesota. I was looking from MI to drive out as well. Either way everything else is valid, Yellowstone and the West during Fall with first frost and snowfall is gorgeous. I would drive out just for that.

Are you a photographer because your photographs look amazing! If I go to Yellowstone at any point in my life, it's because you just convinced me to make it happen. Bravo.

Photography is a side gig I picked up since I am always climbing or hiking in the mountains for fun anyways: https://josh-ulrich.com/

I can't wait to pick up my GFC in a week or two. It should make travelling life so much easier!!!

You definitely should man. I've been luck enough to drive through twice and that place is spectacular. Added bonus is Grand Teton NP is right below it so you can kill two birds with one stone.

I got the email today. Obviously thrilled--I had tried to put the timelines out of mind because the wait was so long from when I ordered back on April 30th (order #155 and #108 on the leaderboard). By the way, the original estimated build date from talking to Graham on the phone was mid to late September, and then I was updated in June to an October 8 date, and I have now have a build date of November, so not bad all things considered--well done, GFC!

Now that I actually have to make some decisions, can I enlist the help of the community and ask if anyone has pulled together pics of the color choices on an 3rd Gen MGM? I've seen the mock ups, which are helpful, but I was hoping to get a sense of what the colors look like on an MGM in the wild. Thanks in advance!

And I think I'm likely to be the first GFC in Indiana. Any other midwesterners out there?

Anyone interested in picking up a 2 meter ARB awning when they grab their GFC? I'm going to be taking mine off and can leave it at Bomber Products right down the road in Bozeman. Maybe $200? It's been mounted for a month or two, deployed maybe 4 times.

I can see light... but mine was built a month or more before being delivered. I was missing a few “upgrades” that have happened since.

Black GFC, w/grey tubes in 3G MGM. Personally I think it’s the best combo with MGM. If i lived in SoCal or Arizona I prob would have gone white, of course i would have a white truck too..., the roof is white anyway but I def like the combo I chose.... hope this helps. I spent more time than I should have trying to decide.

Wow, thanks for all of the responses I will try to answer them all. And to clarify, I am coming from Auburn, Ga which is a small town East of Atlanta.

This pictures are beautiful, definitely a sight to behold. Everything I have seen says access to Yellowstone is not available from ~Nov 5th to ~Dec 15th (until the snowfall is deep enough to ride on). That includes snow shoes and skis. I see that you can drive the North entrance to Northeast entrance but can not access the park. I got that info from the nps site and also saw a few threads about it.

I am coming from Auburn, Ga which is a small town East of Atlanta. Its ~31hrs to drive to Belgrade, MT alone. And ~25hrs to drive to Moab, UT.

So close but I am leaving from Auburn, Ga which is a small town East of Atlanta. My camper build start date is 9/24/18 so I have plenty of buffer time but I have had to push the trip back twice based on previous build dates. Although, this time period works out best since my wife can go.

I opted for silver panels and an orange frame based on a picture posted earlier in this thread. It looks amazeballs.

That is a great combo, blends very well. I opted for silver panels and orange tubing, the silver panels look to match the pinstriping I have and the decal, we will see how it turns out.

It's a bit of a grey area: https://www.yellowstonepark.com/park/yellowstone-road-access-winter. Park is closed, yes, but there is still access and such available.

@Quadabaum I agree that the park is closed in regards to all but the main North road and to ask snow vehicle travel. But I'm fairly certain that doesn't prevent hiking, etc from the trailheads along the road that are open.

I took a snowmobile tour through Yellowstone last February. It was incredible. I highly recommend it.

@YOTA 4X4 That black on black looks really good. Thanks for the pics. I have the same grill, so this gives me a really good sense of things.
