I have yet to go to Ford for anything beyond the warranty sensor.

When I change the oil I save the dated receipt for the oil and filter, take a photo of the old filter next to the odometer and of adding oil to the engine, and record it on Ford's site. It's stubbornness--since I started driving I've never had anyone else change my oil, and don't plan to start now. Especially now since I finally have a decent sized, well-lit garage that's soon to be heated.

I'm at about 10k now, so I should look at the maintenance schedule and go through that stuff. I think it's all just inspecting things--I don't think the truck has any grease fittings.

I've been using Ford for oil changes if I have time to get there. They will change it much cheaper than I can. How much oil does the 2.7 take? My 5.0 took 8 quarts and the 6.2 is down to 7 quarts. I don't think the new trucks have grease fittings. My F150 didn't and, surprisingly, either does the Super Duty.

Where you seeing that? Just went to see who they got and don't see anything on it

Edit: see it now on their twitter. Weird when I googled Boston Bruins nothing came up on it.

I just googled it after @m603holden 's post. Looks like he went to the Rangers... That's a tough loss. I didn't see who they got out of the deal yet though.

Edit: here we go: Rangers trade Steven Kampfer, a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and a conditional seventh-round draft pick to the Bruins for Adam McQuaid.

You don't want to. Terrible trade. He was a leader in blocked shots for TOI. Basket mental case Tuukka can't handle any more shots on him.

Interested to see what happens now. Rumor has it they're actively going to shop Krug as well after a few preseason games. I only hope they bring in another heavy hitter and shot blocker. Miller can handle the heavy hitting, but I'd take McQuaid any day for consistent D over KM.

    The 2.7 is 6 quarts.

I'm about 45 minutes from any dealer, so even if their cost is slightly cheaper by the time I account for gas and my time it isn't anymore. It cost me $28.87 last time to buy the OEM oil and filter at Walmart. I can probably get full synthetic for about that if I buy a second 5 qt jug once every 5 times rather than the extra single which is expensive in comparison.

Yeah, that guy... And it looks like he scored as man goals in 2010 for the Bruins than he has in every season since combined. Hopefully, he goes back to his former glory when he returns...

I hope he doesn't play 1 game and it was a payroll dump and that they're still shopping for a top line Dman. They cleared that, and if they clear krugs payroll, they are sitting pretty. Both skillsets we're redundant.

I think McQuiad was going into his last season under contract so I wonder if it was a preemptive salary dump for something else? Looking at it, the trade really isn't adding up.

I go there for an oil change when I have a coupon...It will say something like "5qt conventional oil change $16.95" and yet your out the door bill will be $40. Because Tacoma takes 6 quarts so they charge you like $10 for that last quart and then a disposal fee on that quart of whatever and then other fees...It's still cheaper with the coupon...

I had a real abrasive interaction with them a while back when I got in my truck and the radio didn't work. It's after market and I specifically asked "Did you do anything electrical" and they said no and then I looked and the OBD2 cover was off in the cab...I said "The OBD2 cover is off, did you plug in?" "Oh yea, we did that to check the xxxxx" and I said "Well, that would be something electrical right? My radio suddenly doesn't work..." "well it's after market. There's nothing we can do..."

I ended up disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and it reset...But I'm pretty sure they did something when checking the battery voltage...and just wouldn't admit it..Probably sent a shock through the radio ground that tripped something...

I've also had instances where I've gotten a "red" report for something on their multi point inspection and then it was "green" the next time with nothing touched.

I understand the dealer is expensive but $700 per wheel for hub and bearing PARTS...Got it from bama for what, $165? Pressed? Sure it's taking me some time to get done what with the whole working 50 hours a week and having zero free time...but I'm getting there...
