(TSB 0062-18) Torque curve or tranny fix?

    I'm wondering if anyone has done any dyno testing on before and after the
    TSB 0062-18 fix has been done. Has the engine management been
    modified to fix the power band or just shift points? Maybe both? It would be interesting to see what the actual fix is/was.

    For you AT folks, both?

    MT folks have been sideloading TSB-0058-18, which is the same engine software. I'm up on smoothness, power, and MPGs.

    As a test, I was able to climb a certain hill near me at the same speed in 4th with a passenger that I'd normally have to drop to 3rd on. Before in 4th, it would bog to the point of lugging. So, there is definitely a small low end power bump.

    No offence, but I think you might be “reaching for the stars”.

    Toyota’s reputation is not based on pleasurable driving experiences. It’s based solely on reliability. So far these trucks might drive strange (shitty?), but they have proven reliable. Especially the transmission and motor.
