With Tropical Storm Olivia about to make Landfall and that Oahu now under a Tropical Storm Warning wondering if my Brother will be safe

He lives in the Kailua Bluffs area near Waimanalo


Been watching KHON2 weather vids and they're saying up to 6"-8" of rain and 40-70mph winds

 

I wouldn't worry. We have been through much worse.

Another question !!!

Going to be visiting my Brother over the Holidays and I've been seeing some vids of classic car /muscle car shows at the Windward Mall and at Hawaii Kai Towne Center

Do they still have these car shows or ?? , I would really like to go to one if they still have them . Some of the vids I've seen almost look like car shows in Socal , you've got some nice cars there !!

 

He should be fine in the bluffs, as they're elevated in comparison to the the rest of Kailua. Not many trees up there to fall, just have to worry about the winds damaging property.

Areas like coconut grove, though could be flooded.

I miss Chipotle and Mountain Mikes (Cali Pizza chain). I don’t miss Chipotle when that hot sauce hits tho.. you gotta ease back into that glory.

Whenever I visit my Brother we always eat at Cholo's Mexican Restaurant on the North Shore !!!

 

My cousin who lives in Seattle has the off road t4r he was nice enough to let me use it, he just asked me not to off road it with out him. I didn’t listen to well. I visited my friend in Oregon he lives near mount hood. This is about 10 miles from his house. I have officially fallen in love with the hood river area of Oregon. It’s now on the list of potentional living list.

 

I've been to Mt Hood and stayed at timberline lodge so many times. My dad is from there and had a house on 10 acres in redland/Oregon city. Been all over Or.

 

I gotta check it out. Sometimes contemplating leaving, but not sure I wanna deal with snow..
