Also rotated the tires and changed the diff oil at 58,000 miles.

Some shards caught in the drain plugs magnet, anything I should be concered about?

There were about four more of these, all about the same size. Nothing bigger though.

Forgot to post the couple photos from an overnight camping trip off of the 74 / Ortega a couple weeks ago. Fun way to introduce the girl to camping!

Yet another use for the bed mat... a "welcome mat" for the tent !

Used Raptor spray on bedliner to coat the underside of my fiberglass yesterday, came out pretty well. I also took a minute to matte black spray paint the core support on the truck.
I think it looks loads better without all the fiberglass and white sheet metal showing through (wheel well is now dark)

I didn’t think the 12-15 could look more bug eyed than it does stock, but with no bodywork on the front...

I need to compound it too, but this will suffice for now. Loads cleaner.

Finally found the tail lights I wanted, and got them at a good price from an eBay discount code.
Like the Tacomabeast ones I had before, but chrome. I like it better with the white truck.

They have a back outline, which I

Hopefully these are up to par with the black ones I had before, because the brake lights were extremely bright at night.

Went out to Pismo / Oceano Dunes this past weekend, was a blast learning to drive in that type of terrain.
Got stuck once, but luckily my T4R buddy with me yanked me right out.

    Found the happy spots at
    • 8-10psi in the rear
    • 10-12psi in the front
    • Keeping it in 1st, 2nd, and a little of 3rd gear.
    • Stop AT THE TOP OF DUNES :D and keep my momentum up !

    Little photo dump:

Anyone who’s in the SLO area, either living or just passing through, lemme know and lets go wheel on the beach !
I’m about a 15 min drive from the park, going to school up here currently.

Got some video clips from the weekend.
Truck was sluggish in 2nd but speeds of 30-35mph was too fast for 1st, I think I need to enter the bowl faster in 2nd and stay up higher in the bank/ not cut down as sharply. Also maybe 4.56 gears and a powertrax locker.

Youre 2wd correct? How did the truck handle in the soft sand of Pismo?

Edit: Just answered my own question on the 2wd part considering youre running a spindle lift lol. It would help if I read first

Yes 2wd with Trd Sport "LSD". I ran 8psi rear and 10 psi front, and with the trac button pushed once (auto lsd) it was fine. I think ill try 10psi in the rear next time, and see if its still ok.

Got my new headlights installed finally.. just waiting til dark to align them, hopefully they’ll be much better than the breaking Oem housings and shitty HID kit that was in there before.

Went with Philips +130% X-treme Vision H4 bulbs
    44692B90-2753-4399-A88E-531A69F0E7F1.jpg

The Oem H4 connectors were so F’ed as one was just sitting out in the open, and the other had been drenched in battery acid once, so I got some new ceramic ones and soldered them onto the Oem wires.

    New ones all wired up

New Amazon headlights, cleared out, made in China, but seem decent quality. We’ll see how they hold moisture.
