The volume is good honestly. I thought I would be hurting for space more than I actually am. I have the essentials for tools, plus your basic power tools. Cordless Impact drill, regular drill, soldering iron, heat gun. It holds everything. I have some buckets so I can detail my car on the fly as well. 1 for microfiber towels, 1 for products, and 1 with some opti rinseless wash mixed n ready to go. I love not having to carry anything out to the truck to detail the car. It's pretty awesome. And there's still room for a DA polisher in the toolbox when I put the money down for one.

Best part, toolbox is about $50-60 vs the $300+ you're looking at for a permanent set up. And this is more versatile since you can take it out whenever you want in 5min. You do lose on tool space a bit, but I haven't needed it thus far.

Nice! Mine got back from being fixed a second time a week or two ago. Best of luck with the fix and hopefully it never returns!

Wow. Thanks for the awesome follow up! I really appreciate the details and photos. This will certainly help with making a final decision. So far, I just have a 5 gal bucket with a mix of towels and recovery supplies in addition to an ARB compressor and socket set. It will be nice to get things consolidated while allowing some room to grow. : D

I've seen a couple of people post that they had gotten a ceramic coating done. Wondering if there was a specific brand that was better? We have a system x promoter near here, looking for those who may have some experience with it.

Hey no problem brother. Thats exactly the mentality i had. At worst you just buy another tool box or bucket and bungee it in :). Only thing I'm thinking of getting might be the molle panels from Cali raised for more bungee points to keep everything secure. But it's a bit pricey to do. Ok, that's it, I'll stop hijacking the thread :p. glad it helped you out with your decision making.

Check in the detailing sub forum. You'll have better luck with experienced people in that area seeing your post.

Don’t make it more expensive for the rst of us when he gets the itch to make more! They cost plenty. Could be a little cheaper.

Attached my aluminum badge milled by BH3D printing to my Prinsu fairing- it spells “To Yo Ta” in Japanese Karakana lettering, a tribute to the older Toyota logos...

He also sells these retro F series 4WheelDrive badges. I was thinking of putting one on my tailgate instead of the OEM one, and I wanted to maybe put the Karakana one opposite of it, but I realized the tailgate is not flat! :(

Put a lock on that thing, but flip it first for easier tire valve access- I put mine with valve forward, it has plenty of protection behind the differential, and you can hide your stash in the wheel that way :rasta:

Naw- I put my safety triangles up there and a tightly wrapped up tarp for muddy or rainy tire changes. I guess the tarp looks like a stash bad though... oh well.

Dig the Barcelona Red! Wish I went that route, but the only MT trucks within a 500 mile radius was black and quicksand.

Actually it wouldn't have been my first choice. I work for the "Toyota Family" and it was a company executive lease that they sell to employees. Black is my color of choice but could not pass up the wicked deal I got on it. However I am really starting to like it, has a lot of depth and color changes some based on lighting. At dust is has a really deep wine color that I really like.

Same here however in reverse. Black was my first choice, but at the price I got it in the configuration I wanted I too couldn’t pass it up.

Go Rhino BR20 Running boards, seem well made. Certainly will need to get used to them, I have never had running boards before.

Good luck and be safe to all those affected by Florence! I wish you all well. I was supposed to arrive in Charleston tomorrow at 4 from Seattle and my flight is cancelled now. Hoping my family there will be safe.

It just upgraded from at a Category 5!
