Armor Vendor Selection Logic

I wouldn't take the chance with alum sliders to protect my truck... seen some nasty hits and the aluminum buckling. dude couldn't even get his door open after lol.

 

But was his truck damaged? Or more realistically, was the damage less than the hit without aluminum sliders?

 

the rocker was pretty bad, obviously would of been worse without sliders. would of been no damage with steel though.

 

I think y'all need to think about the use case scenarios. Many people will add skid plates/sliders/armor and will attempt to NOT scrape them on objects unless it's absolutely necessary. In fact, most really just need it for slow crawling and that initial "warning" scrape so they can just back up and try a slightly different line. Aluminum is perfect for that. Then the other group of people hit stuff with speed and or hear scraping and keep pushing forward. For them, steel is the only option. As long as you are buying the right skid material for the right use case you'll be fine.
