That's a very good idea. I figure once the bucket is cut off...it's mount the shocks in the lca with it set to the appropriate angle and measure the top for the new hoop.

 

Subd to see the outcome for mounting those shocks on @5 Lug Fury 's truck..

 

There’s gonna need to be a lot of measuring. What is your current strut length compared to the kings? With the truck on its own weight, how much room do you have from the lower mount to the top of the fender well?

 

Oh ok I would suggest getting some from Eddy at SOS offroad and using the 10% off.

 

What’s the spring rate also. Your truck is a lot lighter then a double cab v6

 

king coilovers 2.5 8" with 500 pound spring 18" coil

 

I ended up not getting those these are pretty much the same except 600#

 

Need to figure up something for bumps to. Factory ones won’t work anymore

Nope mid travel 5 lug supports 8 in travel shocks it's just the Kings are slightly longer than sway away or icons

 

Is that on stock lowers?

@5 Lug Fury a bit of advice...

I would wait to install those until you either replace the coils with 500# coils or have the TC lowers to go with them.

I don’t think those stock LCA’s are going to withstand 600# coils. The truck just doesn’t weigh enough and it’s gonna probably ride like a tank.

 

you'll have quite a selection with that budget, depending on tires and wheels, but you'll have an extra 700-800 to wiggle around with if you do the lift yourself, i'm down to lend a hand or if you want to do it at my house, i've got most basic tools

 

yall see all the mess with pelfreybilt? I remember you saying you were gonna stay away from them timbo, too bad cause they made some good stuff, hard to imagine them going under like that unless they planned it and wanted to just take peoples money to do other things

 

They screwed a lot of people. 600 to be in the ballpark

Yeah crazy they filed chapter 7. I always liked there products but heard some bad things about customer service which steered me away from them. It sucks that they took a lot of peoples money and have no intent of reimbursing them back.

 

600# springs on a 4 banger is going to be rough man.

 

Yeah I'm leaning towards 500# instead
