Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Hmm more shiny new stuff (I need my head examined) other spindle should be in tomorrow

And that’s a tundra dust shield so the calipers don’t require trimming of the brake dust shield

So for those who have replaced their upper ball joints did you have trouble getting the retaining clip back on?? The damn thing looks like it’s fully seated but I can tell the slot of the retaining ring isn’t fully sitting flush with the top of the spindle..

Stuff and things that make it better.
A little late on the reply but I had stock 4.30's (04 reg cab manual) before I swapped in 4.88's.

    3rz. Its a reg cab.

All v6 trucks came with 4.10s that were 4wd.

4.56s came in some 4 banger autos, super hard to find.

4.30s in 4 banger 5 speeds. Hard but not impossible to find

4.88s came in VERY few 4runners.

Ah. That would make more sense. I looked for months and I was never able to find a 4.30 out of a Tacoma. I'm guessing everything that was 3.xx was found on 5-Lugs exclusively?

Nope. As with all things Toyota there are oddities to all rules.

3.58 came in some tacomas that were 4x4. Ask @Speedytech7 his original truck was that way lol

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Ugh, yeah 3.58 were rough. It's so weird how the gear ratios can be fine depending on weight though, the 3.73 in my 300zx feel downright peppy haha.

Revalved the coils tonight with the help of a friend who knows his shit and got a good laugh as I popped my cherry in shock work by bathing in oil when i pulled the piston out too fast haha

It doesnt seem like much more when comparing thw size of the spacers but I guess you have to take geometry into account and should gain some travel. I have to get them charged and the coils put back on. Then will put them back on tomorrow. Not gonna be truly able to test it till the weekend after next. Looking forward to it though!

Yup thats lever ratio for you. It's cool how you can look at 2" of exposed shaft at ride height of a total 6" shock and that pulls approx 10" travel.

About an inch or so. I cant remember what Im supposed to get and I forgot to take measurements before

I figured I am opening em up, spacers are cheap, and why not add some travel.

This morning I checked that line and the ashtray light only comes on when turning on your parking lights. But there are plenty of other lines I can tap onto that I see. Like those extra 12v plugs right over the air bag ECU (I don’t know what’s it’s called but all the airbag wires connect to it) I don’t use those. I’m pretty sure it’s the red wire that is the power source and white is the ground.
