Still in for one, got a rough timeline yet? I’m fine with cutting the mesh myself, would you include a piece of acrylic to protect the sensor? Can’t remember if you said that would be included with the mount you’re offering.

Awesome, as far as a timeline goes I'm waiting to get a confirmation but from my experience I would say anywhere from 4-6 weeks, could be less could be more. I will have more info soon and let you know.

I'm not sure about including the acrylic piece or not. Since the meshes are only for "aesthetics only" anyone installing the TSS on the mesh will have to be responsible for it on their own. However, I have and am doing more testing to be sure that if you do decide to go about modifying the mesh you can know that others have tried modifying it and had success. The extra hardware included might happen to be the same size bolt for the TSS mount. Any thin piece of plastic could work as it's only really for protection and the bottom most bar on the grille already could protect the sensor because it is right in front of where someone could install it.

I think what I will be doing for the group buy is just have everyone order it through the website and have the group buy price posted up for a limited time. Once the grilles are completed I'll ship them out asap.

Good things are in the works:

To those '18 owners wanting to know; Travis outfitted my Taco with the X-Tec grille for the last 1.5 weeks and all functions were normal with no errors.

Tested cruise control and it worked fine. Went off-roading and had it covered in dirt, soaked water on it (the TSS sensor area) and everything seemed to be operating as it should. It hasn't rained in SoCal in a while, but I'm guessing there will be no problems there.

By all accounts, it appears good to go. No re-calibration needed, just plug-and-play. Got some compliments on the grille along the way. Can't wait to see Travis' final product!

@watkins303 I have your grill already and am very interested in the black powder coated mesh. Can I purchase just the mesh from you now? BTW mine is on a 2017 so no hole cut out needed

At the moment I don't have any meshes that are poweder-coated. The only couple prototype ones I have now are just hand cut out ones that I've painted with plasti-dip. I could probably sell you one now but it wont be as clean as the powedercoated/machined cut out ones done in the future. I will likely have the meshes done before the grilles.

Yes you will be able to get the option for a 2016/2017 with mesh. The mesh wont have the cutout, as there will be two options; one with a cut out and one without a cutout.

Yes I should be getting a portion of the batch completed by Friday.

Keep posted on this thread as I will only be doing a limited number for the group buy pricing and will be doing it first come first serve since I will only have a limited number of inventory for the next couple of weeks because only part of the batch will be completed this Friday.

I should have the website ready to go for the preorders within the next day or so.

    Stay tuned for more updates.
