What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I've been confirming my decision to purchase my 2nd Gen. The truck was wrecked by a neighbor when she pulled into my driveway to turn around. On Monday i finally took her in for repairs and was given a 4x4 Colorado for my rental. The more I drive this thing the more I miss my Tacoma.

 

Awesome work!! Looks really good!! I need to make it a priority to get mine going. I can fab and design, just need to do it already.

 

What did I do today? I changed my profile to say 49k miles from 48k. LoL

 

That’s the hardest part. At least for me, it was a fairly large time and space commitment to build this thing. Took my garage for a couple weeks.

 

Does the stock rear camera still work?

 

Allpro bed rack and smittybilt tent mounted, and turned 70k.

 

Thanks. I was going to order one in aluminum this Christmas (been saving) but recently heard they went bankrupt and are no longer around.
That's to bad, they had a dual swing out rear in steel I wanted as well and aluminum under armour.
Wish there CAD or Solidworks designs were available to get cut and bent.
There stuff was always nice looking, fit and finish great, functional, and not some big snowplough looking garbage.
Looked at Allpro in the past but after there fiasco with other people, aswell my rear leaf pack f/up they will be the last place I order from.
Guess I have to keep looking for the good stuff and great shop.

Yes, and there is a cam button on the head unit where you can turn it on anytime. There is also a port for front camera. I'm loving the guages

How does it attached to truck to pull the gauges? Bluetooth adapter or did you get an iDatalink?

Bummer you bought your light already. I'm getting ready to sell my light and bamf light bar mount. Light sits about here but can be adjusted vertically.

 

I'd go with a U-Bolt flip. You'll have it all apart already, and it really cleans up the rear IMHO.

I went with the same lift! Loving the ride. I admittedly stare at the rear reservoirs every time I walk up to my truck...

Ordered the LED Ultimate Map Light for Meso. Cleaning and reorganizing Garage to maybe get the Taco inside this winter. Don't know it that will happen but will a lot more room to work and it and Wife's Mini. Found parts and pieces from 86 S15 Jimmy, 83 Fire Bird, Ford Exploder, Ford Expedition, 02 Taco, Wife's Mini and Pieces off my TRD Sport. 2 old racing trophies and a Hilborn Fuel injection Manifold for 100 Offy ($$$$) plus normal house hold paint, lumber, dry wall and electrical and plumbing. Big Garage sale coming. Amazing what 30 years in one house can collect. With 3 teenage Grandkids living with us need the room for their stuff amd probably a Gen. 1 Taco for oldest grandson.

 

Mine is Relentless Fab. It has a little of the snowplow look you describe, but not overly so, in my opinion. I think I have diminished that look with the silver powder coating. At least, that's what I was going for. If you eliminate the upper tubes it would look even more streamlined. That was my initial intention, but eventually went with the protective tubing. Glad I did. Make great handholds, as well, when in tight quarters, and you have to walk around the truck.

 

Just slapped on some AVS vent visors. Some minor rubbing on the front windows,hope it goes away after leaving the windows up for 24 hours.

 

I have those same ones, and I haven't had that issue, so hopefully it will go away for you also!
