True there either molested or rotten out.

Be careful though. Not sure what you do for a living and what you do in life but a two door jeep should be considered as a fun vehicle or second vehicle. I wouldn’t really recommend one as a daily. Not enough space, not practical. Only room for 1 person really as i always had the rear seats out etc.

That being said, the next vehicle i buy will be a manual 4 door wrangler. There awesome vehicles but ownimg the two door made sure ill buy a 4 next time around.

Get a 2013+(3.6 engine) wrangler jk

Based on what I read here, it fits 33s as well as the Taco fits 33s - with lift and some trimming. No body mount chop, though, which is nice: https://www.coloradofans.com/forums...largest-tires-no-lift-lt285-70r17-33-0-a.html
Or a rarer unicorn, an LJ Rubicon. Decent ones are over $14k, for a 14-year old vehicle.

I went to see an LJ Rubicon around 2 weeks ago. Had around 200k and he wanted 14k with a little bit of room to flex.

I would of gone for it, as the frame was really nice and no rust on it.

But basically every single body panel, from the fenders, to doors, to rear quarter panels, had paint bubbling/rust spots forming. Im not that picky about rust, but I would definitely want to look into fixing it, and that would involve a full re-paint. Which makes that 14k asking price sound a little crazy

    Never seen one that cheap.

I feel like at 18k, I might as well just buy another Tacoma and NOT lift it 8" this time.

Jeep TJ was supposed to be the cheaper route with not much money needing to be spent on things like lockers and stuff.

Ideal price range for a vehicle was between 8k-13k. Obviously buying something thats not complete garbage.

    Been looking at:

    - 1st Gen Tacomas
    - 2nd Gen Tacomas
    - Jeep TJ Rubicons
    - Jeep XJ 2-Doors
    - 1st Gen 4Runner
    - Suzuki Samurai
    - 1st Gen Rav4 AWD (Dont ask)

still think what youll save in that price range right now you'll pay back in the next 3-4 years vs just getting a new vehicle and spending a bit more.

    • Extra groove on the shoulder tread blocks.
    • Center tread blocks used to have two sipes, now have three.

P.S. the stone ejector pattern at the bottom of the tread grooves really screws up tread depth readings
