Only works if you are on septic. Will work on sewer system if your lift stations stay functional.

If lift stations that serve you die, it will work if you are uphill in the system.

Until the lines are full. Then ugly.

There is no 'bug out' when half the state tries to leave at once. Go early rather than later.

Last year the interstates and old 4 lanes out of Fl were parking lots, barely making 20mph. And gas stations along the way quickly ran out of fuel.

If your going to go, go now. As one that lives in a state where the only way to go is one direction...up (North), people were stuck on the interstate almost through the storm. Bugging out at the last minute is almost futile.

    Some stupid expensive stuff
Looks like I’m just in for some flooding, potential for tornados, an possibly some looting depending on how stupid people get.

On a lighter note, UPS just dropped off my sliders and front bumper! :D

    Stay safe y’all

The boy and I just went and filled 20 sand bags here in Goose Creek for us and the neighbor if we need them. Hopefully we won’t since we both sit up on a hill and have 2 large empty retaining ponds at either end of our street. We shall see.

Too Soon ??? .......... Ya'll be careful. Just past convoys of trucks heading East on I40 in Arkansas, they were hauling at least 16 rescue boats your way. Another 12+ trucks with utility poles. Line clearance trucks, linemen, etc. Not a good sign. Prayers...

At 2:30 a.m. EDT (0630 UTC) on Sept. 11, 2018 the MODIS instrument aboard NASA's Aqua satellite looked at Hurricane Florence in infrared light. MODIS found coldest cloud top temperatures around the eye, as cold as or colder than minus 80 degrees (yellow) Fahrenheit (minus 112 degrees Celsius). Surrounding the eye were thick rings of powerful storms with cloud tops as cold as or colder than minus 70 degrees (red) Fahrenheit (minus 56.6 degrees Celsius). Credit: NASA/NRL
