Not inciting any kind of political discussion, but this was interesting to see. Haha. An old woman stopped and handed this to me.

I definitely live in San Francisco.

What are you getting a degree in again?

You're set for life if you become a Petroleum Engineer.

I'm certainly no fan of the Orange Potato, but all that fascist hitler crap really just makes my blood boil. Not only is it not accurate, it just makes "the other side" tune out. Both sides do it; remember all the hitler/obama crap, too.

I just don't understand why that kind of rhetoric is needed.

Yeah, except the hours generally suck, and the minute the price per barrel hits a certain point, you're out of a job.

I'll take job stability and predictability for $1000, Alex.

Software Engineers make more money, but I absolutely hate coding. It's fun sometimes, but I'm not the kind of person who can sit at a desk all day and waste my life away in a cubicle. I like being out in the world doing something.

The reason I don't want to leave the Bay Area is because this is where the tech industry is. Why would you move away from Hollywood to become famous? Haha.

The world runs on Petroleum, surely there will always be a need for them. Even if the car industry went 100% renewable, tons of things are refined out of Petroleum. Legos, Tupperware, car parts, etc etc.

But you're right. Job security is nice. Unless we have another Y2K, I think I'll be fine. Haha.
