    If I ever see them in my area, they better hope I'm not armed or driving the truck. There's nothing worse than someone standing in your town HOPING a bad storm will hit. And for what? Publicity! The people in these areas are going to need help, not some pampered TV star who is going to run when the store runs out of their favorite beverage.
    If they want to come, I'd say their network needs to donate at least $1,000 per day to the local Red Cross. Then maybe they will be welcome.

    I don't like playing with big boy stuff. This is a 4160 Vac motor starter for a 1250 hp motor. For reference, that's my phone holster at the bottom of the fuses.

    Bringing back memories of when I was an electrician !!! , I hated working on Motor control equipment !!

    I was a underground electrician in Scottsdale Ariz from 1985-88 and it was fun but also scary at times . A buddy of mine got seriously injured using a Hot Stick on a 12kv switch gear while working inside the Cabinent

    Pulling a cable of a Hot circuit and the protective boot came off and was hit by arc Flash over

    Be glad you weren't on the Big Island of Hawaii near Hilo 2 weeks ago when Hurricane Lane hit

    In 48hrs Hilo received 50 plus inches of rain !!

    My Brother right now dealing with Tropical Storm Olivia and already had 12" of rain on Oahu

    We pull the 12 kv off of our substation and we have many huge transformers stepping down to several levels. Thankfully, we have a no live work policy. It takes an act of Congress just to get a permit just for 120 live work, so it's pretty much never done.
