Turbo BS Thread

Truck fired right up. The WB scared the crap out of me. The gauge freaked out and just cut out. The power contacts where dirty. Cycled and cleaned the plug a few times and came right to life. Thought I killed it on power up since I tapped into the +12v. Need to plug in my laptop to see if the sensors are working correctly.

 

It is a bit nerve racking, after making those substantial wiring changes.

Well, depends on who makes the internals. Should the same companies sell the parts there, that are manufacturing here, then that would be easy. Or order the parts from there. Then just take it to a machinist.

 

Well either my gas gauge just broke or I got like 16 gallons to the mile. Had nearly a half a tank then I noticed at a red light my light came on then I was like... Dang that needle is moving fast. It doesn't smell like I have leaked any out and there isn't any dripping off any lines or the tank so hopefully its no big deal haha.

 

See how many gallons it takes to fill it up.

 

Well if I fill it to the top it spits gas out a little so I usually just kniw about how many gallons it will hold and stop it short. In gonna put 5 gallons in and see what it does on my way home and that way I won't spill 20 gallons out somewhere if there is a real issue... I need to do some stuff to my truck and I think its just mad I have been negleticting it

 

I'd say a fuel line under the truck, if it leaked out in a day. IF

 

Yeah I checked those when I got to work and none were wet, I didn't see any disconnected plus i was able to drive for a half mile or so which wouldnt be possible if the line came loose right haha? Even if the pump was stuck wide open 255 lph is about 64 gallons and I drove the truck for about 1 minute after I notice the light so maybe 2 minutes start to finish of the evacuation would only be a little over 2 gallons. None of it makes any sense in the time frames given. It definitely didn't burn it because if anything my afrs may have been a touch lean this mornin

Well 5 gallons didnt move my needle and I drop 18 miles home and it didn't die. No gas running out on the ground at the pump so I'm gonna say the gauge is busted

 

Also autocorrect changed drove to drop twice today

 

Pull the sender out. Probably some fun ethanol deposits on/around the float assembly.

 

Cant I just hit some whoops and hope they fall off on their own?
